i dontr understand how you havent got more views for your channel you are good to watch
Enjoy your new toy very nice little bike and cheap to run i bet
@johnshanks7902 Thanks John, it's nice to try different things. It requires a very different approach to my usual ones. You really have to think on the road. 👍✌️🧡
@@springy-2112 small bikes are fun if u think your crf is small try a msx 125 not for everyone but love mine about the town can beat them for mpg about 120 to a gallon . I also have a xj 900s for long distances yet another great bike being shaft drive
Yep, i discovered the common 13 tooth front sprocket mod has been done so i will put it back to a stock 14 to give it an easier time at higher speed. People dont believe that Honda figured out the best gearing for all situations. 🤔✌️🧡
I bet Redbourne feels different from when I lived up there when the A15 went through. I’m not into modification unless there is a real need.
@OldManTony My reply ended as a comment to me? Not sure how I did that. It was about 13 to 14 tooth sprocket , back to stock to help at higher speed. Hope you are doing OK buddy. 👍 👌 ✌️❤️
That looks like fun springy.
So far , it's good. First time out today. Found the wrong front sprocket on it when I got back . So I'll change that which will give it an easier time at higher speeds. 👍✌️❤️
Don't you miss your old XJR. I had to sell mine a couple years ago to pay the bills and I still miss it today. Hope to get another one soon.
@@UpToNoGood83 I miss them all! But you have to go with what's right for now! ✌️❤️
But yes agreed the xjr was a beautiful thing to look at and exquisite to ride! 😢
@@springy-2112 it's making you think now isn't it... You know you want another haha!
🫣
Awesome 🙂
Between you and Chris at Bikervation I took a liking to it over the years. Had it mulling around in the back of my mind for ages. It'll suit my needs now, and should be fun . It was quite a challenge to find one that's almost stock, just a rack which I'm keeping . And a few bad accessories I've already removed. No silly exhaust or chopped up airbox etc! Your words on your last crf video " it's just fine as it is" made me smile. Well said Sir. More to come on this one, I'll get some miles done. Peace and love buddy ✌️❤️
Looks nice should have fun with that . Cheers
@@norfolkandgoodmotovlogs Hopefully, it seems good so far. 👍✌️❤️
Full face helmet doesn't fit, I have an 850 rt
i've got the same. tuners are terrible . i change them with Gotoh. the bas is got for small gigs and it has a great B string. i wil change soon the pickup with an EMG
The spark plugs drade
Ya can't go far wrong with a Beemer.
Nearly a year now this one. That's some kind of record. 👍✌️❤️
Here I was thinking my mate springy wasn't doing YT vids anymore and yet !!!!!! I have some catching up to do my friend.
Nothing of any substance just the odd catch up! 👍✌️❤️
What's this ?? I came here to see two girls and a bike wash. Boo Hiss !!
thankyou for doing this i am about to do a full service and rebuild of a dl1000 i bought which was advertised as better than it was and know i am screwed at the moment
You are very welcome. I don't think I mentioned in the video the plugs are very low torque maybe 11nm. they will snap in a heartbeat if you do them up like your average car plugs. I know this because I snapped one! Luckily it didn't fight me too much extracting it. It was my own fault for not checking the manual . Good luck with the bike I'm sure you can make it much better. ✌️♥️🤗
You’re looking a proper old man now Mr. S!! Peering over the top of your glasses like some weird old maths teacher from CHS in the late 70’s!!!
Yes I'm rocking the Smokey Joe Johnson look now! Got bi focals but I need tri focals! 😉👍
Mate, we’re both specky old men now - whatever happened to the young, dynamic go-getters that we used to be?
@@guyburt-davies9968 substitute decrepit for dynamic and the go getting got up and went! 🤪

Hi can you please assist me with firing order Xr3 cvh

Hi can I see wiring in distributor
Sorry there, I no longer have the vehicle. It's an old video. 🫣
What is the firing order if you don't mind me asking
So why the car loose pressure
sorry I don't understand, pressure?
Sold my Blackbird 3 years ago when I retired age 68. Last December I bought one of these, 2 covers and a big chain and lock. There it has sat until now! I suspose I will ride it someday! I can't walk very well and I love naps. Cheers from St Louis, Missouri.
I do hope you get to ride again some time. But above all take care of yourself. Your body will tell you if it's time. I had two years of not riding due to health. I'm nowhere near as strong as I used to be hence the smaller bike. But I'm very happy with it. Its great fun . Peace and love and best wishes to you.✌️♥️
Thank you brother!!
Looks good 👍 . What no ceramic coating stuff . My late father would of been proud of you a squirt of fairy liquid in a bucket was about his limit. Cheers mate
Yeah, I've never had a vehicle worthy of ceramic . Even if I did turtle wax has worked for me since time began. 🤗✌️❤️
I haven’t had my bike out of the garage for over a year, it’s on SORN since autumn when my insurance ran out. I suppose I ought to sell it.
That's sad to hear Tony. After two years away from bikes with the health problems I Try to use this one as much as I can while I can. Are you unable to ride buddy? Hope that's not being too nosey. Peace live and hugs as always Tony. 👍✌️♥️
@@springy-2112 most of my issues are in my head, I’ve not been the same since the good old lock down days! However I have had some heart issues this year, but that isn’t stopping me, it’s just increased my pill intake 😂😂. I need to get my ass in gear and either find the time for riding or sell the bike.
@OldManTony If riding is not your thing at present them go with your instinct. Do what's good for you at the now. Bikes can come and go. If you feel bikey at some point in the future you can get one then. That's what I did. There are no rules . The most important thing here is how you feel. Put you first. Love you brother ✌️♥️
I have one of those, I'm thinking of putting flatwound strings on it.
I think flats would feel and sound great on it👍
swapping is a very bad idea, you want the narrow part on the back and the widest part on the front for better maneuverability
The whole width is now narrower front and back. Why would I want it wider?
@@springy-2112 the widest part is narrower than your handlebars, you want the area furthest behind as narrow as possible
Love the video mate. Gonna have to call mine Rita too
Brilliant, mate.
Hi, did you need to cut the coil cable down before winding them on the bit that goes on the spark plug?
The plug caps screw straight onto the plug leads.
@@springy-2112 when I got my new coils the 4 cables that came with it was all the same length, is it ok to cut them down so each one is perfect length. Or shall I leave them all long. J worded it wrong g ford time around sorry
@Bandit_6oo oh, I see. Yes it's fine to cut them to length. it comes off a huge roll so can be cut at any point. 👍✌️❤️
@@springy-2112 ok great, thanks for the advise 👍
Can you show which wire goes where on the distributor
it's a very old video and I don't have the car now I'm afraid. Sorry.
can i use 75w90 gl4 syntetic?
I used 80/90 just because the manual asked for it. So I would only advise using the oe spec. I'm sure 75/90 syn will be fine ads its got a bigger range but I wouldn't want to commit to advice and be responsible for destroying your gear box! 👍✌️❤️
That's a bit too tidy . I have to spend 10 minutes to find anything . Glad you are doing well and still enjoying the bike . Cheers
Yep, I'm blessed or cursed with the tidy fetish! Always have been. I still can't find things though. That's because there's a poltergeist that keep knicking things. Or maybe it's just me getting old and forgetful. 🙃. Peace and love brother 👍✌️🧡
If you want remove this additional mudguard. One option is order&install BMW G650GS Sertao chain guard (it is without mudguard).
Thanks I will.look that up.👍😉
I‘ve borrowed the same bass form a friend, and it is pretty bad shape. The biggest problem tough is that the neck is convex. But there’s something missing on the top of the neck, means I can’t make the neck straight. Does somebody has an idea of what I can do now?
it has a truss rod access through the hole in the string retainer nut. 4mm Allen key , turn right to take out the relief, left to increase relief. I think its a two way truss rod. If its beyond adjustment it'll need clamping to a bench. Daves world of fun stuff has lots of videos on this subject.. when it's beyond normal adjustment.
Hi bud I have a 600 bandit mk1 glad I came across your channel u have some good content and definitely helped me with somethings with mine
Thank you, it's nice to know it can help others. It's all just having a go and figuring it along the way. Sometimes I throw the towel in and leave it a day, come back and find the answer. I'm still learning now 50 plus bikes down the line. My current bike has a dry sump with an oil tank and single port fuel injection. Totally alien to me! But it's all just nuts n bolts a good manual and TH-cam away from fixing. Stay well , glad you enjoy the musings. Peace and love brother ✌️❤️
Just got one of these too. 2007. Enjoyed your take on it.
Good stuff. I still have it and still find it fun. It's got lots of agricultural character. And to my surprise for a low powered single it's happiest at 80mph. It becomes super smooth and quiet. Not that I do 80 often as it's just great at A road speeds. It's very capable off road too. It'll need tyres soon I'm thinking of going more off road biased as I do now like a trail because of the f650. I find the factory top box really handy but I'm considering removing the givi panniers and side racks as I have never put anything in them. Hope yours brings you fun. Mine certainly does, after 40 years of giant bikes this little charmer has certainly won me over. Keep in touch I would love to know how you get on . Thanks for the feedback . Peace and love to you both ( and the beemer) ✌️❤️
Sorry Don't own thr car anymore so no can do. Once I finished the restoration it went into a mk3 collection.
Any chance of a video showing your starter and alternator wires
Thanks for this
Yes 2 and 3 screwdriver method put finger over plug hole to feel the compression stroke first then fine tune to top dead center . just to make sure theres no push on the valves when you replace the rockers. 👍✌️💚
Very helpful video, im going to take the plunge and do mine, how do you find top dead centre of 2 and 3 is there a mark or do you just use the screw driver method
I just bought the same one but mine is made in Japan
Lovely, traditionally the japan ones were better quality . No idea if that still applies. The Mexico one was great too. Candy apple Red is a lovely finish . I had an anniversary strat in same colour and I don't really like red generally . ✌️❤️
Ultimately replace the radiator but you will need to flush the whole system too. Chances are whatever is blocking the rad will be blocking much of yhe cooling system. Sorry that's not a simple fix but it's probably a realistic diagnosis. ✌️❤️
Good day I want know what to do when radiator is blocked
That looks like a great improvement on the old setup. Have you built it where the old shed was?
It's a different property(long traumatic story) so I got to plan from scratch. But all's well and I'm very happy with the new set up. Lovely to hear from you Tony, peace and love brother ✌️ ❤️
Nice space buddy 🙂
Yes, finally. Just need to make it a bit less harsh. But I have plans and unlike the house ( finished) it's not going to bother the karma. Floor next but I have the materials already. Peace and love brother 👍✌️❤️
Looks good and more importantly you look well . Cheers
Thank you and thank you! It's a bit chernobyl at present but I'll work on making it more bohemian. Peace and love brother ✌️👍❤️
To find a seven video series on getting a mothballed BMW R1150RT recommissioned, search for 'R1150RT recommissioning Ep1' should bring up the series, which is a hands-on deep dive into much of the under-the-plastic maintenance an owner can perform on their own. Valve adjustment is a simple task, for example. The brake fluid change is the hardest task, and is detailed very well. I'm looking to buy a 2002 R1150RT I've found at a great price. Hopefully it will still be available when I have the coin to plunk down. I've owned and daily rode only Kawasakis in the 45 years I've been riding. I like to stick to quality, and the nine I've owned have been bulletproof. I daily rode my '84 GPz1100, a Wiseco 1135cc sleeper with stock pipes and DFI, for 15 years. I love speed and power. I just missed out on a fabulous 2012 Concours 14 deal, with just about every mod I would do already installed. However. BMWs were always a close second place in my heart, ever since my first riding buddy's sister dated a guy with a nice R90S in the late '70s. So... I think I'm going to change up my style, if the bike checks out and is still available in a couple weeks.
Got around 128 psi on all 4 cylindrs on mk2 bandit 1200 is that ok or poor?
Should be 150 plus. If they are all 128 maybe your gauge is a bit out? Worth borrowing a different gauge just to check before getting worried. Normally if there's wear either bore or valves they would be uneven like 15 or 20 psi difference or more. But if they're all 128 doesn't sound like a problem . Sounds more like the test equipment.
so you've changed the hydraulic tappets which are the lifters. All that's lefts is the rockers and the cam. I would imagine its the cam , they are made of cheese unfortunately. I've changed a few and used kent cams. They seem to last much longer. Also use the right oil. The racing crews use straight 30 mineral in cvh engines . I tried this but it makes starting more laboured in cold weather. it did quieten things down though. I went back to ford spec after. How noise is yours? After I didthe tappets I still had one ticking lobe but it wasn't bad enough to warrant changing the cam . So it really depends how noisey it is. What you do next.
