Good afternoon! I hope everything is well! Please send me a link on how I can make a Butterfly hatch from the beginning (from the scratch) using a dry wood boards in carpentry workshop. Thank you in advance.

Good afternoon, whether you have no reference to production of the hatch of a butterfly, by own efforts with 0? I thank.

How do you prevent rain water from leaking past the gull wing piano hinges?

I watched part 2 and 3 and first I want to applaud your beautiful craftsmanship, and the classic larger vessel and ship details such as the sliding hatch and companionway doors! Beautifully done sir! Also, the first small correction to terminology is that lovely "Fiddlehead" bow detail which is actually called a "Figurehead" and not "Maidenhead" good sir. The second small correction is that Hawsepipe is a pipe from the weather deck angled downward and forward passing through the side of the vessel and through which the anchor chain runs and into which is housed the shank of the anchor when hoisted "Home" a Hawse hole is the covered deck opening in a smaller sailing vessel leading to the chain/rope locker where you would store your anchor chain/line! Also, the pronunciation is not like Canadians speak-eh, so not Haws-EH (A) pipe but simply HawZ pipe! I just heard something that makes my "Mariners" skin crawl as you mention working on your bowsprit and something you call a binnacle for the bow of the boat!!! A "Binnacle" is a piece of marine equipment that houses the compas and would never have anything to do with a bowsprit or the bow of a vessel AT ALL! I just watched that part instead of hearing it and I believe you refer to the cast bronze pad-eye band fitted over the tip of your bowsprit. That is correctly called a "Cranz Iron" sir and to which you attach your headstay, bobstay and bowsprit guys/stays. My credentials: Master Oceans, Steam, Motor & Sail, Master of Sail, Historic Ship Restoration, modern sail and tall ship Rigger and I would expect if I misnamed a part of a violin or pronounced it incorrectly that you would politely correct me, and I'd be only too happy to add that to my knowledge base. AGAIN, BRAVO on your Perfecto! She is a lovely gem of which I know you must be very proud and deservedly so!

These little pocket cruisers are interesting but I honestly don’t get it. They’re too small they be comfortable or practical. Seems like it makes more sense to buy a 21 to 31 foot boat and just customize it

Top notch craftsmanship on this beautiful pocket cruiser but Jaysus, that unfortunate ear splitting horrendous music jumping up & down in volume makes this unwatchable. Your talents would have been better served with just your narration. I never understood why people insist on background music in instructive videos. This isn't a drama that needs atmospheric mood music. I desperately hope you sorted this out in your part 2 video of this excellent build.

you really are acting like a violin maker here. as a violinist and boat builder I have great respect for the perfection of violins, but when building boats, I dont see much need for this much perfection. mainly because boats just get banged up a lot all the time, and the fact that people dont see the boat as closely as they do a violin.

You have done an extraordinary job on her. Have you taken her to blue water, big seas, maybe a storm? Keeled her way over? How did she do? She is so beautifully built that I’m betting you would not challenge her in blue water or heavy seas, maybe a bit delicate. I know you would protect her. Texas

A real shame that as usual crappy music ruins this video and makes it virtually unwatchable. I know that it is from 2016, but even in 2016 I could easily normalize the volume on a multi-track recording. Just not worth the trouble to have to keep working the volume button constantly to hear the barely audible narration, and then to mute the overly loud crappy music. up, down, up, down, up, down goes the volume on nearly all of these you-tube videos... 2020 now, and video creators will never learn that we didn't click the video to hear your favorite music selection at volumes that are guaranteed to wake my room-mate at 5am...

I know it's a bit late, but aren't those hatch hinges inverted? Or do they jam before 360 degrees of rotation. Hinge plates normally sit flush against each other when closed...
