Dark side, yes, I ride the darkside. I have similar tires and they cost roughly $500 delivered or really about $925 per 10,000 miles if installed at the shop. So I hand mounted and balanced a darkside on the back and will hand mount my future front tires in hopes I will change that to $300 per 10,000 miles. Since the bike is a bagger there is little difference and that is in cornering. It is actually better on cruising, and stopping. Better on gravel/dirt but you dont want to be there. My Darkside was a 195/60 - 16($86). I would do a size smaller if I change it maybe 180/60-16 I am Valkyrie shopping now.

How do you know how many flats on the pushrods does it say how many on the certain ones you purchase? And how would you go about cutting them off if you have solid pushrod tubes? obviously you can’t see if one’s on overlap or not to cut them . I’m wanting to change to adjustable ones on my sporty and the tubes are solid

I just replaced mine today. The passenger rear isn't bad at all. I didn't watch any videos prior to doing the job, so I didn't know that I was supposed to be scared of it. LOL. The problem I have now, though, is that it misses worse than it did before. I don't know; maybe a coil pack is bad now, too.

How many flats do I turn if I have unknown brand pushrods? Unknown cam and lifters also.

Thanks for posting this but get 4 paper clips and big rubber bands or small bungee cords and pull the push rod covers up out of the way.

I don’t feel sorry for anyone that gets scammed on these Facebook groups. There a guy and myself that took It upon ourselves to start warning naive people in three of the groups we are in and we both gave up. The scammers either blocks us immediately or the potential victim continues to chat back and forth trying to set up a deal. Few days later there’s always a post from the victim about being scammed. It never fails. Most of them deserve It at this point.

I just bought a 04 at a brokerage. They were going to deliver it. One of the holddown straps broke the starter button off. Really ticked me off. Been waiting for almost a week for it. They are going to fix it but have to wait for the part.

paper clip and a rubber band to hold covers up. also when cam lobes are down 'base circle' piston is up on TDCC. top dead center compression. so you did it correctly and had it on TDCC :)

I hate the customers that purchase your part for a lowball offer then starts asking questions on what it fits 🤦🏻‍♂️ I had one asked 20 questions and wanted more pictures afterwards only to tell me he didnt like something about it and wasnt going to pay for it. Blocked immediately and reported to Ebay..🙄

I do a limit on my best offers to prevent lowballs. I make my offer limit the lowest I am willing to take. Video games are the worst for lowballers. Not sure if its just people trying to get something for nothing like you said or if they are also resellers trying to get it cheap to resell for their own. I do free shipping on anything that will cost me $10 to ship and just mark the price up that much. Car parts I make them pay shipping. The shipping pays my time boxing it up. I also dont do returns unless I screwed up or if they do reach out, but they pay for return shipping. If they do all that, I'll refund them no matter what!

So I have a softail evo here and I want to adjust the pushrods. The bike is noisy right now so I am sure it needs to be adjusted. My question is. With them all ready pre adjusted in the bike. Do I just get the cam to poition, and then adjust them to slight lash?

Out of all the "adjust pushrod" videos I watched, yours was the icing on the cake. I did exactly as you instructed, ignored such things as TDC, and had no knowledge of my brand names to use any such calculator charts (flats info etc), and now my bike runs perfectly after a complete rebuild! I cannot thank you enough for solving what I believed was a mysterious pain in the ass problem with no solution in sight. THANKS!!!

If your ignition coils were original then they would have a yellow sticker on top with the Motorcraft logo. These are replacement Motorcraft coils so they were changed fairly recently. I would say the spark plugs were done at the same time in your case. Just changed my coils a bit ago and come to find out we hadn't changed them since we got the Ex in 2000. The coils were manufactured in 1997!

I sell mc parts on eBay as well, I am sure you know, but Shopify has built a few sites for other selling parts...

Thanks for the informative video. I just bought a Class C RV with the 6.8 so it’s nice to see how much work goes into this job compared to a 5.4. They also sell affordable magnetic spark plug sockets. I paid around $20 on Amazon for a pack of three different sizes.

Definitely go for Avon cobra chrome tyres they suit the valkyire, I have a 1997 they can definitely get up and go you can also plod in 5 at 500 rpm the only thing sort of wrong !! it needs a rev limiter , I've gone through the red line a few times , much miss under stood bike
