When I am in the kitchen, cooking or baking, I reminisce long ago years (50s) alongside my grandmother/mother and a sister making homemade ravioli and pasta gravy/sauce. And, in the kitchen with my grandfather/father assisting in all chores... Those times have long since passed but never forgotten.
I am dearly thankful that both have been a guiding light in my life...

#donaharrisburg Italian wedding soup
This video shows steps to make an Italian wedding soup, ingredients, and more.
Soups are easy to make, do not take a long time to cook.
Preparations do take time.
Nothing in this soup should be crunchy. All should be soft, not hard. It’s a soup.
NOTE: pastina pasta is denoted in video. Actually used PEPE DE CINI (sp?)
Remember to remove bay leaves. They are only for flavor, they do not soften, are inedible, can cause chocking.
Remember to toss unused water you put in the “broth” box/container. Not re-usable.
Ingredients: (ingredients are your choice.)
Pasta. Ideally use a small pearly pasta especially if making for a gathering, wedding, receptions…
Fresh Celery leaves
Fresh Italian Parsley
Red & white onions
Celery, carrot
Herbs, salt & pepper
Bay leaves
Vegetable cube
Bone broth
Handmade meatballs
Recipe:
1 tbsp. celery leaves
1 tbsp. Fresh Italian Parsley
1/3 c. Red & white onions
1/3 c. Celery, carrot
1 tsp Herbs: parsley flakes, basil leaves, ground oregano, salt (kosher) & pepper
3 Bay leaves
1. Vegetable cube. Shaved
1 and 1/3 c Bone broth. Or vegetable, chicken broth
1 and 1/2 c. Water
10. Handmade meatballs. Or use frozen smallish meatballs
1 c. Pepe de CINI. Or pastina

Wish me luck, my royal icing has hardened and I'm not happy with it, going to try to scrape it off first before baking another batch for only 6 cookies (ughhh).
😊 I’m not always happy either. Water is an enemy to RI. Too much and it “eats” at it. This apples to alcohol too. Take cookies to faucet & sprinkle warm water over them. Do one at a time. Use an exactO knife or straight edge blade. You might have to do several times. If cookies break glue back together. Don’t over moisturize the cookies as they will crumble. You’ll be successful.

Hi Dona, those are sweet potatoes , not yams. They are very different. 😊
Hi. I’ve bought “yams” (labeled at store) and turned out to be sweet potatoes. Now store has 2 bins, 1 sweet potatoes, the other yams. Both same price per pound but 2 different plu’s. When weighed using the different plu’s they are same price per pound and display as yams. Sweet potatoes, to me, are waxy. Yams, to me, are creamy. What I purchase are creamy, sort of pulpy.
