A labor of love…. Don’t be intimated. Give it a try
(Please note: in case I left out an ingredient or procedure it’s best to watch the video.)
AKA. French apple tart
Ingredients:
6 (med-leg) apples (depends on size. Might need more). Slice/dice.
3/4 c granulated sugar
1 T Ap flour
Pinch cinnamon. about 1 tsp OR MORE. to taste
1 T (about) Squeezed lemon juice
To bake sheet. Bake. 375 - 400. 10-15 mins
Remove & mash
To bowl. Add 1/2 c bread crumbs. (Absorbs moisture)
No bread crumbs? Fresh bread-toast/dry out in oven. Once done to mini processor. Grind
Peel/slice thin about 3-4 more apples
Add squeezed lemon juice. “Coat all slices)
Have an egg wash ready
Lb or db sugar. OR turbinado sugar
DOUGH - RECIPE IN BULK DOUGH VIDEO.
Roll dough. Put in spring form tart pan
Pat in to bottom & side “grooves”
Handle dough gently
BUILD UP DOUGH AROUND RIM OF PAN
DECORATE DOUGH. TAP BLUNT END OF KNIFE ON THE DOUGH AROUND THE RIM
BLIND-BAKE. 375-400. ABOUT 10-15 MINS
REMOVE. LET SIT/COOL
ONCE COOLED ADD THE FILLING….
THEN BEAUTIFY IT
ADD EGG WASH. SPRINKLE A SUGAR. GRANULATED CAN BE USED
TO OVEN. BAKE 375. AFTER 20 MINS ADD MORE EGG WASH & if desired more sugar.
Once baked remove from pan. & let sit about 2 1/2 hrs. Then film wrap, to fridge to “gel”. About 2 hours (or longer-when ready to enjoy) slice that baby, eat & enjoy 😊.
Background TV is annoying!!
I mute but doesn’t always take effect. Muted several times this morning and it didn’t take effect. Hopefully muted now.
