It's funny they go to the trouble to tidy the front up with integrated cables then have a front brake line flapping around. It looks much better when the front brake is on the left, I switched my levers over a while ago, I prefer the rear brake on the right and it looks better.

got the Orbea Wild FS H20 E-MTB had it 12 weeks done 1200 miles just normal trails fantastic motor and battery got the 750 ,fantastic bike for me over 50s person. Bad points free hub bearings destroyed 10t,12t,14t cassette replaced, front fork not great, crank on drive side will come lose, cut the handle bars down if you live in a normal house not fit through the doors and change the settings on the flow app they are rubbish to start with, love the vid

Nice one, you'll never go back. I bought the wild 2022 H20 last year as the battery drops out in seconds as I plan to buy a second for longer days out. Only gripes I had are dropper was only 125 so swapped for a One-up 150 as it fits all the way into the seat tube and stripped the rear hub after 2 months. Orbea replaced it for a better quality one. Still love it, hope you enjoy it

You absolutely wont regret it Gordy, by the sounds of it, your chuffed already. I also turn 55 this November. I paid $7,000 Australian (3,700 GBP / 4,300 euro) 18 months ago for a Merida e-One Sixty 700…. Thought it a bit pricey at first, however now no regrets esp. with what I get out of it and what it has given me. Living in the Adelaide foothills I’m minutes away from glorious tracks I can just go for a spin whenever I feel like, especially with the 2,000 lumen headlight I have. Great for physical fitness (I rarely use turbo/boost) and headspace, just being in nature seeing kangaroos, echidnas and going places I normally would not go, certainly not on an analogue bike. Just the sounds of birds and the magnificent views over the city. I just love it and would not hesitate buying another EMTB…. In fact I also bought a decent cheap-ish mid-drive step thru for road rides. Possibly the most satisfying purchase in recent memory. My physical and mental health is sooo much better. Enjoy mate.

Believe it or not you'll get fitter on that emtb, you'll do longer rides and be able to concentrate on your riding

I'm 56 too, and zero'ing in on my first eeb. I'd get a medium as I like a smaller reach, even though I'm 5'10. Everybody has their preference! Enjoy your new bike!

E bikes are for lazy people they are not bicycles.

Wild h20’s normally come with a sram gx drivetrain. So the upgraded shimano xt derailleur is cool, would be interested to know what cassette and chain has been put on as a result.

Lovely bike, I've been looking at a wild or a rise for a while now and will be making the change in a couple of years time. It's just the servicing costs that put me off really but you enjoy it.

I was up Chopwell woods today. There was a load of E-mountain bikers...the most I've seen in a single day in Chopwell woods.

Got to love Westbrook Cycles(Stokesly) great bunch of guys. Bought my Cannondale Moterra neo 3 from them! When I picked it up they had already made it tubeless for me!

Nice bike mate, I’m sure I will eventually concede to an ebike, not quite 50 yet so I will see how the next few years treats me 🤣 having said that, if I could afford one, i would have one for those multiple climb up rides in the woods 😄👍🏻

I went for the Cube stereo hybrid hpc 750 tm. same cx motor with 750Wh battery, magura brakes, gx eagle (option for AXS) and fox performance suspension for under 4K!. fox 38s will probably be well over biked for your skill set and a more enduro focused bike. will certainly get you out more with the lads for sure. Im still keeping my Analogue enduro bike for uplift rides with the eeb being more for all mountain and trail centre days

No excuses now haha. You can still keep fit on the E-Bike, but you need to go approx 3x as far as a normal bike. Have fun!

Well I think youv made the right decision, at 56 years old you were never going to keep up with younger guys on a normal bike. I think you'll enjoy your hobby more now!

Have a couple of these on my local trails and I cannot for the life of me get the balls to do them. Sit at the top for ages with the brakes on and then chicken out. Fair play for facing the fear!

I tried some inserts and cant get on with them at all, my vision is just weird and feels like im slightly disconnected from reality. I have a normal pair of goggles, push my glasses through, put the glasses / goggles on, the bring the strap around.

Great video, i would love one, one day, just not yet, so tempting once you’ve rode one though 👍🏻
