Thank you for giving written details of the 2nd option to start removing it from the front. MIne was easily removed by starting to pull it up from the front tabs. It just came right out, super easy, 30 seconds!!!

Mine was stuck on defrost mode so what I did is I got a long flathead screwdriver and forced those gears open . Works great so far and I didn’t take anything apart . In less than 5 minutes. I have nice cold air blowing out . Come winter I might push it back to where it was . Yes it’s half ass but it’s also 17 years old 👍

That’s still not correctly timed, it’s still jumping teeth in your last video!

Excellent video. My high beams were stuck on because of this. I’m too lazy to actually fix it, so I just pushed the stalk inward and pushed it back/forth until the high beams went off. I don’t use them often so I’m fine with not having them work right.
