You don't need to buy a bus ticket in advance. Just use your easy card, very convineient.

I recommend a 3-night' stay, including Sun Mun Lake and exploring the city.

It is about 3 hrs by train (Tze-Chiang Limited Express).

Is it safe if i arrived there during night time.. say around 8pm?

@@neesaelc4648 Yes, it's very safe. The town is small, and if you stay inside the town proper, you can even walk from the railway station to your hotel.

It is easy to walk anyway. But, since the lake is big, and has many attractions places to visit, I recommend you rent a bicycle. The distance between the main bus stop (Shuishe) and the Shuishe Pier is about 300 meters (5-minute walk).

@@Chans_Itinerary I would love to cycle too ^^ But i'm bringing my parents who are over 70s, so it's impossible to do cyling :p Thus, i'm very concerned on if i need to walk far. Thank you :)

Hi, I took the tour on 8th Feb 2023. It was mostly rainy those days in the Taipei area. By the way, it was sunny in Taichung and other parts of Taiwan in Feb 2023.

I am not sure about this. But in Taiwan, they have luggage lockers in most tourist sites and transportation hubs. You can contact Shuishe Visitor Centre for help.

The first bus is at 07:20 in the morning. Taiwan Tourist Shuttle Sun Moon Lake Line

The last bus from Sun Moon Lake to go back to Taichung City departs around 6.30PM which is the bus I have taken.

The nearest bus stop to the hotel is called "Mei Rong Pharmacy". I took a bus from THSR Taichung Station and got off at the bus stop which is about 130 meters from Kgold Hotel.
