I make my own bread wirh organic flour. I also add some seeds. It's delicious. Unfortunately, I don't have a grain mill anymore. The one I bought never has been working very well, and the flour was very hot and smelly. So, I got rid of that mill which by the way was very expensive. Now I order stone ground organic flour, and I think it's a acceptable alternative.

It’s definitely worth the effort to learn to make your own sourdough from scratch, I purchased a flour mill & organic wheat at the beginning of this year and have been on a mission to make natural healthy bread. It’s taken a few initial fails but I’ve recently nailed it! We don’t get tummy troubles anymore, I highly recommend people to give it a go :)

Oh how I love this message. For me it was supernaturally timed, because I have recently turned my attention to this sin in my life. It IS a huge battle for me. I have to believe that I have self-control, since it is a fruit of the Spirit, but in times of stress, and physical discomfort, I seek comfort in my favorite foods. My prayer after watching this is that I would find my comfort in Him. God bless you!

I have been purchasing these ancient whole grains from Azure Standard and grind them myself just before making the bread. My husbands favorite is made from spelt and it has a wonderful taste and aroma the color of whole wheat and I just can’t describe how wonderful it is. I have brought my A1C down from 6.9 to 6.2 eating very few carbs mostly meat and fat from dairy. If I do eat bread I make my own sourdough starter and ancient grains like Einkorn, spelt or emmer. For sweetener if any I use real honey which I get at Costco, Sams or locally grown.

When it comes to gluttony. You will NEVER have the support of others. Even your own mom will tell you, "I'm not changing how I eat because you lack control." I feel this is the talking point everyone will use. "You're an adult," "Get over it" "you're gonna have to learn to be around food." People have no idea what deep seeded hatred I have in me from the lack of support I've had over the years with my food addiction. As I watch every other addict get coddled. The part that sucks, is when my mom was trying to lose weight. I was so supportive, I sacrificed so much. I'd eat only ramen everyday because all the food stamps were going straight towards her diet. And even though she didn't really give me a choice in that. I'd try my best not to complain about it because I didn't want to discourage her. But I was so tired of eating ramen from back to back. I'd babysit for her so she could go to the gym. I was her cheerleader whenever she was ready to give up. Now she tells me that I'm making excuses, and if she was able to lose weight on her own, so can I. But I try to point out to her that the reason she was able to lose the weight, was because she had a great support system (which was me!!) She almost gave up so many times, but I stopped her. However, she so confidently denies all the support I gave her during her journey because she doesn't wanna have to return the favor. She's a huge narcissist. And she's planted so much hatred in me, I can't even comprehend it. Sometimes I feel the people around me try to sabotage my diets on purpose. And I promise I'm not exaggerating. The amount of times people would randomly decide to buy my favorite snacks just as soon as they hear I'm going on another diet, it's unreal. And the worst part. I can't even get away from these people.

I gotta say you are truly gifted in the ministry of gluttony! It's a blessing that God is using you to convict people like me of the sin of gluttony in no uncertain terms!!! Since it's normal for churches to be full of obese parishiners (as well as pastors), it's like we've been lulled (deceived) into an area of spiritual blindness. Maybe this sin is tolerated because people like to consider themselves upright and they're afraid that if it is acknowledged as a sin they'll be expected to repent, and yet maybe gluttony is their favorite pet sin. Overeating is a social norm but we need more voices boldly chastising us for this sin!!! Have you considered leading an online group or writing a book or anything?
