My wife was born and raised in that area, Globe/Miami, Stafford/Thatcher, Clifton/Morenci with many generations of her family worked and still working for those mines so I had spent many days on and around those tracks. We have not been back in that area for 10 years, but back then those tracks were so bad the A&E were derailing a train almost on a weekly basis. Judging from your video even though the line is now owned by the G&W the tracks clearly have not gotten any better.

I’ve been flying this entire route between Vegas & Barstow in MSFS2020 with a F22 Raptor. It’s super realistic in 4K, and I can see everything and swoop down low and follow the train tracks. It’s really cool how it leaves I-15 and goes thru the desert to avoid the steep grades of I-15 between Barstow & Primm. Kelso has that cool old depot in the middle of nowhere. I really want to come out and do this route on UP this winter

KC is the 2 largest rail hub in the USA , Shoestring was riding a KCS train stopped in Pittsburgh KS when he lost a big chunk of hand .

things may have changed but the gm i took through deschutes took the west track after the bridge in the early moring.. i had to jump off cause was headed the other way.. waited all day for some junk that worked that yard for what felt like forever.. anyways, for anybody that gets stuck there tryna get west, would recommend waiting on the other side of the river to catch the back end of the gm from kfalls/ stockton to vancouver that cc’s at the bridge. happy trails

If you catch the ebd from Pasco to Bend you will side in Wishram for 10 hours so. What I do is catch that train behind the siding behind the Kennewick dog pound. They stop on Thursdays mostly and there's a power outlet as you wait behind the Kennewick dog pound. Ride safe.

Every hobo mishap begins with "Pasco" these days. I got hemmed up for a 10 year old riding ticket there last year. The judge dropped all past and present riding charges in the morning and released me so that was cool.
