Your videos are perfectly balanced , riding and checking out the cities and towns. I ride myself and the waiting and trying to figure out the trains is way harder than the ride ! You show it all , nice to see you back.
You went to some interesting places in the scenic Southwest -only a half, I’ve ever been to. You’re doing something I dreamed of doing as a kid. BTW: at 23:35 the “C&S” on the steam locomotive in Trinidad, CO is the abbreviation for the Colorado and Southern Railway. It independently operated several hundred miles of north-south track from Wyoming to Texas for only a decade at the turn of the 19th/20th century. It then became part of the Chicago, Burlington & Quincy Railroad -the “Burlington Route”-hence the logo on the tender. (In 1970, the CB&Q merged with the Northern Pacific Railway and the Great Northern Railway to become the Burlington Northern Railroad which in 1995 merged with the AT&SF “Santa Fe” to become today’s Burlington Northern Santa Fe. After all the mergers, there are now six major railroads in the U.S. Only two, BNSF and Union Pacific, cover the western U.S.) Safe travels.
Thanks Coywolf! Hope you come up my way in Milwaukee in the future! We can catch out someday and drink some whiskey! Thumbs up on this video! Crazy Hobo Johnny known coast to coast well, almost!
Monet famously painted 30 different renditions of haystacks over the course of a year so I doubt that anyone would bat an eye over recurring lines traveled man
