I thought fiddle figs are known to drop their leaves easily
They all filter CO2 from the air??
I killed bamboo years ago. Over watered it. Though 😢😢 it needed a lot of water. Still scared of bamboo to this day. 😂😂😂. If go OK with 12 plants (house) 🪴 I may try bamboo again
Try sticking your lucky bamboo in a jar of water, don’t plant it in soil
Those beautiful plants don't need bogus health claims to justify their value.
carbon dioxide isn't a toxin without it we wouldn't be able to breathe.
Thank you! 😊
Your "bamboo" its actually a Dracaena not a bamboo. Bamboo is actually in the Grass Family...your plant has a civilian name Bamboo...but actually isn't 😊
In stores it’s labeled Lucky Bamboo, tried to make it easiest for people to find :) but yes you’re right in that it is a type of Dracaena
@BirdofParadise 👍🙂
Don't lie about FLF
I live in Canada
Fiddle leaf is definitely for a green thumb/experienced plant parent. I agree on the others
FLF are fickle af. Definitely not hard to kill or beginner friendly.
Hello thank you for this video!!!
Of course ❣️
👌👌👌👌👍👍👍
They’re called Lucky Bamboo. However, Bamboo is a totally different plant, botanically (with a different Genus name). Fiddle Leaf Figs are collectively one of the trickiest houseplants to grow.
Hello from Mendoza, Argentina, what can I plant?
Hi welcome :) here are ten that should help! My favorite is #7 😘 1. Senecio 2. Chiliotrichum Diffusum 3. Mimosa 4. Sea Holly 5. Powderpuff tree 6. Tessaria absinthioides 7. Black eyed Susan 8. False Willow 9. Lupine 10. Lemon Verbena
Fiddle fig!!! They are a nightmare! They are picky with lighting and the moment you repot them they try to die on you! I absolutely love them though and can’t go without them in my life!! What should be on the list is a peace Lilly, they are the easiest plants going!
Having 3 or 4 plants isn’t going to make much of an impact on improving air quality. Thats why our houses are filled with plants
You're saying a monstera is easier to take care of than a spider plant? No wayyyyyyyyyy.
Hermosura de ardillita....
Haaaaa que kiut ❤❤❤❤
My squirrels love walnuts 😊
Do you feed them fruit too?
Cute and a bit chunky. Well fed
Chonky ;)
Thank you so much!! from Korea
😍 welcome 🤗
Great information
Try using garlic instead of peppermint and spray it at the beginning of spring also plant garlic close to it.. this bugs and ants hate the smell of garlic.. i tried it and it worked so amazingly
How do you use the garlic? Rub raw garlic on the new growth or use it in a spray bottle?
Thanks for the video i am from south africa 🇿🇦 and when can i plant the seed
Mr kitty had me laughing!
😝
Yep, discovered these a couple of years ago. They are beautiful, add lots of colour to the Cardenas and they love our hot summers in Adelaide.
They are the best pop of color in the yard always🧡
Hi there, The wife and I have recently fallen love with these plants. I just planted some out today. I like the idea of adding some mulch as I imagine that will make it easier for the tubers to form in the loose soil. Here in Adelaide (Australia) we have clay soils, so we add lots of organic matter and gypsum to help loosen the soil particles up. Our temperatures range from 2deg in winter to 45 degrees Celsius in summer. Wondering what temperatures you get where you are?
Lovely 😊 I’d imagine you’d have to! Very smart to add organic matter plus the layer of mulch. We are in sunny California, so no harsh weather here… we are blessed to have temps in the 70’s (Fahrenheit) even in the Fall :)
Thank you this video is very very helpful 😊
Thanks for watching ❣️
I just boight a seed packet of creeping thyme and plan to plant them in my perrenial beds to prevent weeds.
Amazing 🥰 good luck
Hello I am so glad to have found your video. I live in southern NH in USA and in the late winter I usually start seeds for my garden to be planted out in spring. I love buying alstromeria in the store because they’re so beautiful and last so long. Thank you. Where are you located. Yours are beautiful!!!
So happy to have you ❤️ please lmk what plants you’d like to see more of and I’ll happily make a video for you. I live in SoCal 😘
Meant to say “to welcome in the Fall”!🍂 You can find the full video on my channel , thanks for watching! 💐
So much misinformation 😮
Fiddle leaf figs aren’t cheap.
You’re not wrong girl ❤️
Grew alstroemeria this year for first time after flowering the leaves looked as they were eaten away any advice please
Hi! How long after flowering did they look like that? After Alstroemeria is done blooming, the leaves start wilting/turn yellow and then brown. This is normal, and once the leaves are brown you pluck them off :) did your leaves turn brown or have bite marks?
@BirdofParadise they just looked eaten, not wilted
It could be snails.. if there is an iridescent slime trail you have your answer. I’m not sure which bug is eating your plants, but try keeping the leaves dry and not damp, as that invites them. Make sure your plants have proper drainage, and gently pluck off any snails when you see them. I hope this helps! Wish I could help more but without seeing it’s tough
🎉🎉🎉❤❤❤❤
Premix the seeds with potting soil and spread the soil
That works too :)
What variety is this?
I believe it’s called Summer Lilac
Most plants absorb carbon dioxide (CO2) through photosynthesis
I feel like the ZZ plant should be top of this list!
Love this plant 😉
Can I place a bamboo in the bedroom?
Yes of course. Stick the lucky bamboo in water in a vase and it will last you 👌🏼keep in indirect sunlight. It’s a popular plant in Feng Shui, they say it brings positive energy 😉
You can’t go wrong with bamboo I kept it for years but sadly they do die from old age 😢
Aww I’m glad it worked for you 💔
I've killed two fiddle leaf plants 🫣 I bought another one two months ago, and hopefully, it will survive, and it's in a different spot as the other two. 😊
I’m planning to post a video on this just because so many people have told me about their FFL troubles. Hoping yours works out this time 🥹
Mine don't look like that Uk
Hi! Are you trying to collect seeds now? It’s best you wait until end of summer
Pothos are the only plants that I've not killed! Right now I have a pothos, marble peperomia, snake plant & a pink polka hypotheses. They're all doing excellent so far!
Yay! Big win 😍
I FUCKING HATE THIS VIDEO SO MUCH, THIS AIR PURIFYING HOUSEPLANT BS HAS TO STOP. Unless you live in a air tight house - wich none of us do - a plant wont do shit to your air quality. Jeez
I call absolute shenanigans on the fiddle leaf. I moved mine five inches and it died. That is the dang truth.
Put your snake plants in bright indirect light. It will eventually croak in too dim of a spot. All the low light plants will start to fail or look bad if they don't get enough light. They don't need brightest, but they'll thrive best in the bright indirect best.
Excellent advice thank you 😊
Stop promoting lies. Having a bamboo plant in your house is not going to purify the air or remove toxins. That's ridiculous nonsense.
