Great video with great advice. I found that saturating soil with water is beneficial for reducing the shock. Also, I think this is the Sigmoidotropis speciosa (aka Phaseolus giganteus in horticulture), not a Cochliasanthus caracalla (syn. Vigna caracalla). I grow both species and they are both amazing and easy as potted plants in temperate climates.
Thank you so much 😊 I just looked this up, and apparently there is some confusion in the community about the name. You’re right that it’s name is Sigmoidotropis Speciosa but it’s still commonly referred to as Snail Vine. Thank you for that. Also, where did you get your Vigna Caracalla?
@@BirdofParadise You're welcome, your plants look amazing. The species are easily distinguished by the seed size and shape. Also, vigna has a complex and numerous inflorescence with multicoloured fragrant flowers while sigmoidotropis has inflorescences with smaller number of purple-lilac flowers with the sweet smell but only during the morning and night. In my experience, sigmoidotropis can flower year-round but vigna flowers only at the end of the season, it surely has to do something with daylight shortening and/or colder night temperatures. Hope I helped. I bought seeds of C. caracalla on sunshine seeds site.
Andrija Bogdanović vigna Caracalla is so beautiful and I bet smells amazing! I’m going to have to add this to my garden 😊 thanks for the kind words, would love to see you around more of my videos. Lmk if you have a request!
Great video! I was able to root some cuttings from my mom's viburnum shrub and they took! The plant is now 6-7 feet tall and blooms beautifully every year with large white pompom flowers. All I did was take the cuttings and leave them in water. I changed the water every so often.
Will this work with morning glory the Heavenly Blue type? The tip of mine broke off when I was trying to support it today in the wind and I thought I could grow it, I'll upload a video in about an hour showing the vine cutting Peace and Blessings
@@BirdofParadise No mam not in soggy soil, and keep it in partial shade..but no single leaves available and plant becomes tiny as cutted the older branches and stem look very dull .
@@BirdofParadise yes, I did, my mum germinates them and when they grow plant them in the Flower pot and they eventually die. Not sure why. Planting them without germination doesn't work either. Maybe the seeds are defected
@@CintyaCasalibaPerlangeli sorry to hear that. Why not give cuttings a try and let me know how it goes. Wishing you luck! :) thanks for checking out my channel

@@BirdofParadise Thank you, would love to see this channel grow. The vigna smells somewhat like hyacinths with a hint of gardenia or jasmine maybe.
Andrija Bogdanović thanks for subscribing 😍
Wow I get so excited when I get a notification for this channel..! 🥳

Yes it will work good luck!! 👍🏻
Hi for a pot what mix do i use? Fertilizer and frequency of fertilizer?
Hi! Use well-draining potting mix and as far as fertilizer goes I don’t think you would need any. Good luck ❤️
So cool! I'm gonna try this :)
MS Life Mastery 🤗🤗
Hello, do you know if it can survive in a large pot permanently? I have balcony, not garden.
Yes it will. Make sure you give it compost ( extra nutrition) and it will be good ! :)
Would it be beneficial to dip in rooting hormone before planting?
If inserting a cutting directly into soil, yes :) but if it has roots already then no
Nice..🌹💞😉
thank you!
My snail vine plant dying out rapidly..please suggest me some tricks to save this plant..please ..
Can you tell me a little bit about it? Is it in full sun? Is the soil soggy?
@@BirdofParadise No mam not in soggy soil, and keep it in partial shade..but no single leaves available and plant becomes tiny as cutted the older branches and stem look very dull .
When did you buy it? Are you in a region that gets frost? The leaves will brown sometimes which is normal, but it’s odd for there to be no leaves
@@BirdofParadise I bought it before 12 days..frost!!...here temperature crosses 40 degree celcius..
Can you keep me updated if it survives?
Hii! I was wondering, do you know how to grow it with the seed?
Hi! So I haven’t seen seeds on the plant, but I’ll keep my eye out. Did you buy seeds online?

you say remove the leaves yet all your cuttings seem to have leaves. did they grow after putting in water?
No don’t remove all of the leaves. The plant needs the leaves to sprout roots.
@@BirdofParadise too late :/
Oh no! :(
@@BirdofParadise may i ask why you remove the leaves in the video?
Sorry for the late reply, I am just seeing this comment 🤦♀️ I don’t think I said remove all the leaves 💕🥲 how did your plant fair?
Very strangely this vine about to cover my entire house..😬
