I have been following Keith pretty much since the beginning of Christian Warrior Training. Just came across Defenders USA (9/22/24) today. Just finished watching both of your videos with Keith. Love that it is another christian based organization with the same beliefs on safety for the church, family and others, and yes I have liked and subscribed to your channel.

You were in a situation where you had to do something and I know you wouldn’t have wished it on anyone, but you absolutely made the right choice, you saved the life of a man who had sworn to protect the lives of others, and his life was being taken by a man who provided no benefit to society. I hate myself for interjecting, because I don’t want to be “that guy”. In this case, I can’t help myself. I am a Harvard trained, Board-certified ophthalmologist, specializing in neuro-ophthalmology. I am also Board😂-certified in aerospace medicine, as well as in optometry (OD), A second doctorate and residency in eyes. The guest here is speaking about vision therapy, a.k.a. vision training (VT). His statements and explanations are not founded in evidence-based science/ medicine, and a majority of them are, unfortunately, misinformation. I don’t want to be the fart in an elevator, but having a neuro-optometric or neuro- ophthalmologic patient describing his perception of cause-and-effect might not be the best idea. Did I just become “that guy“?

Thank you for having Greg on. I'm a huge fan of all his work. I gave his Choose Adventure book to the group of students I travelled to the boondocks of Ecuador with in January. The book is terrific for anyone, but especially anyone going from a sheltered upbringing to suddenly taking a trip where their travels take them to some semi-austere locations. Ecuador got a little sporty with unrest and martial law while we were there, I'm glad all the kids read at least some of it. Two weeks in the cities and jungles and nobody got super sick or robbed, I'm calling that a win.

I've also been following him for years but learned a lot about his backstory on this one, which was neat. And the opposite experience of Jeffrey: Greg and his book helped give me the confidence to spend a month traveling abroad and alone for a decent part of the trip!

I have to laugh. Greg makes the point that his writing style is combo of Thoreau, Hemmingway, and police reports "minus 50 IQ points" - so funny. If you know Greg, you know he's 'wicked smart', and obviously quite humble. Amazing guy.

I've been following Greg for years and think he is great. Pleasure to hear him speaking off the cuff. But after learning a little from him about travel I'm staying home, or at least in the US

As my instructor (that is an old salty ex marine) says “ there are no mulligans in a gun fight Junior! Work through the problem!“ He literally said that to me during a class one time when I called for a Mulligan. Got right up in my face like I was one of his recruits and screamed that in my ear. Spit and all! I’ll never call for a mulligan again in my life! 😂

I have a lot of janitorial experience and have always strongly believed not just in arming teachers but we should also really focus on arming and training the janitors. Why? A janitor likely has the keys to open more doors in the building than anyone even the principle/manager/ceo ect of any building and unlike most others who mearly only have access to keys in a box somewhere, the janitor likely has them on their person all shift. They also know the building better than anyone else too. They know routes to get places no one else does or even has keys for. So they can get to a shooter faster and know how to get victims out of the building. They also are always there and basically invisible to everyone. So a shooter, even if it's a student won't pay any attention to a janitor near by. Probably wont even notice them. And on top of all that a janitor often is working out of closets and maintenance areas that are locked and can be big enough to stage a rifle, body armor, comms, and medical gear in. If trainined and equipped experienced janitors can be the perfect QRF for a mass shooting.

I really appreciate the candor of this episode. It is unfortunate that people go through some of their lives dealing with abuse. On the other hand, it helps us know that we aren't the problem, it isn't caused by something we did wrong. Abuse comes in many forms and there is help. Great show! Thank you to both of you.

Now that I "often" (or sometimesANDobtain 48-49 on the regular dot torture at 3 yards (AND I was witness to YOU shooting it at 5 yards scoring 100 WHILE BEING FILMED IN FRONT OF A CLASS), it may be awhile before I even attempt the timed Torture Dot test!!
