NV124 Beginner's Guide to Reloading Pt1. Case De-capping (Primer Removal) & Full Length Sizing
มุมมอง 693 หลายเดือนก่อน
In terms of actual "reloading", the first stage (for me anyway) is de-cap (remove the spent primer), clean the case, then full length size. Then I would spend time preparing the primer pocket. Then trim the case if necessary, chamfer the mouth inside and out. The reason for that is I don't want to spend lots of time on the primer pocket only for the case to potentially be damaged during the siz...

มุมมอง 973 หลายเดือนก่อน
Sellier & Bellot, known almost universally as S&B, make some good ammunition. However their cases can be a bit of a chore to reload with. The major issues I've found are case life and the small size of the primer pockets, especially with .303 cases. If like me you are having issues with the primer pockets then I've found a quick way to get the primer pockets to accept standard rifle primers. I'...

Check out Gunblue's method of using Lee lube. Gallon bag. Works great.
If the choke is too short the wad will go between the choke and the bore , more of an issue with plastic petal wads , this will cause horrendous pressue issues , did you check the depth of the choke againt the ones that came with it ? , this was very common issue with the early escort semi auto shotguns when the choke became loose and crept forward unoticed creating a gap for the petals to go between the choke and bore , anyway new sub 👍
Hello, thank you for watching and subscribing, very much appreciated. The choke seemed to be the right length, but it appeared it was just slightly too short. I guess then some people would say it was my fault for not using hyper accurate measuring equipment.

Hi . interesting video . years ago through the now gone UK company World Wide Arms i collected and still have many Deactivated WW11 items MG42 K98 Bren etc im interested in buying a Denix MP40 ( wish id bought a deact years ago ) to buy this item now do i have to be in a reenactment group or similar ? the modern rules im not understanding , thank you ,
Hello, I remember World Wide Arms. Yes, you need to be a member of a reenactment group. I recommend the Military Vehicle Trust.

Hello, what is the size of filling probe in diameter? i have lost it and know very hard to find one one ali express or ebay to be sent to Lithuania. thank you!
Sorry for the delay. I'll try to remember to measure the probe tomorrow.
I'm very sorry for the delay in replying. Mine measures 6.95mm diameter
Sirven para hacer reconstrucción histórica?
Hello, my apologies for the delay in replying. They are quite good for historical reenactment. The problem is they are quite delicate and you can't get spare parts for them. But they are much less expensive that deactivated rifles and at least you can cock them and pull the trigger.
What was the overall length of the screw's threaded part going into the trigger with the two washers.... .. I'm thinking grinding down an 10mm screw might be a suitable option as well. Bought that gun with my son 8yo, and the trigger truly is absolutely rubbish even for myself...😂 ..I mean he nails the bull's eye at 40-50 meters nicely but it would be easier to use a trigger that you can gentle press on instead of the 40 000 torque jerk it currently requires....😅
I'm ever so sorry, I can't remember the length. The gun is no longer with me so I can't take any measurements.
Can these be disassembled?
Hello, yes they can be disassembled. I wouldn't recommend it though, they feel a bit loose after being reassembled.
Hi there, i bought the same ga for my Biryhday last september. Sinse i had it tuned with a tbt kit a i put a vector diamondback tactical 4x16x44 ffp scope on it and now it does not stop to amaze me every single shot i take with the jsb heavy Diabolo's 15.89gr. What a brilliant rifle this truly is!!
Hello, thank you for watching and thank you for your comment much appreciated. They really are great rifles.
Nice vídeo , and It is good to make the things your self and rebuilds a sistem who is a litle old , you can put a litle more atention to details , work with a towel , without dust and Chips and Very carrefull with cooper brush in seals , in holles , It more soft than steel but never knows , and the threads in vice , in general greats vídeo , a litle of Fun watch the vídeo and Nice knowledge for me because até a couple of days bought a hft 500 for Br 25 , thank's and hoppe the modificativo work's perfectly 🇵🇹
Hello, thank you and I take your points on board. Sadly the rifle carried on leaking, every seal was perished. I replaced them all but still a slow leak from somewhere. I don't have much time anymore to work on airguns or indeed use them so this rifle was sold along with some of the other characters from the channel. Great choice with the HFT 500, that is a rifle I'd rather like to own one day
Finally got a s 400 custom it’s got a leupold scope on it .22

Yes, would it have broken the bank for them to have done that at the factory?
I am looking for replicas but the only ones that i can find are denix ones i cant find any blank firing replicas or anything like that so should i go with denix?
www.fusil-calais.com/en/3436-gsg-stg44-blank-firing-assault-rifle-9mm-pak-bore.html
Hopefully the link in my other comment has come through OK. GSG make one. Alternatively if you have a firearms licence look for a Withum MP44. They come with magazines specifically for blank .22 RF cartridges as well as proper "live" .22RF. Just remember which magazines are which...
You haven't found the main reason. The main reason is Gamo RRR. You must install stopper before RRR. And all will be ok.
The rifle improved no end, but I did wonder if something else was not quite there. I sold the rifle so now I haven't got the opportunity for further tinkering.
@nickvending9688. Hello. my recomendation for all Gamo rifles with RRR.
Crossman and stoeger is gamo 440. It is trash.
It wasn't exactly the best design to copy. I guess they did it because it was cheap to make.
Thats not a fire arm, its an air rifle
Well personally I agree with you.
"Instruction... in Chinese" how can you be so ignorant, you can obviously see its NOT Chinese as it got houses etc symbols, where as Japanese as mostly simple lines or letter shapes. OK you might of not know that, but seeing someone saying it like that triggers sometbing in my brain
Btw, Japan is high quality country, that's where your ps5 is from, your favorite Dark souls, your good solid car Toyota or Nissan.
Hello, thank you for your comment. My apologies to have offended you. I would like to point out that it is a first impressions video, my first impression upon opening the instructions that they weren't in English but thankfully the English was on the other side. OK, presumably I should have done an Oxford degree in far eastern languages to then know exactly what language it was before then doing my first impressions video, but then it wouldn't exactly be first impressions. I assume you have an issue with the Chinese, hence your comment and your follow-up comment? I don't hold any prejudice against Chinese products, some are great, some are terrible, much like products made anywhere else. But hey, almost everything is made in China. The scope in the video is pretty lousy, if it was made in Japan then frankly I'm disappointed.
I don't have a PS5, I'm too busy working to play games. Dark Souls - no idea what that is. I drive a Suzuki, my wife has a Subaru.
@@nickvending9688 if the scope quality is like you say, then Japanese people did horrible job, but at the same time there are people who say this scope is great, firm and clear. I just wonder if you can take it to airsoft and run in woods, crawling, going to prone, squatting etc. About China, I don't care, I don't like China but love Japan, after doing like 5% of research I found Japanese sounds cool like any EU language, that they are white like us, their eyes are more open for Asian (big eyes, unlike most Asians Small). So clearly Japan is not on the same level as China or Korea,Taiwan etc.
@@nickvending9688 so you Are using Japanese cars.. even two of them

Chasing rabbits, Charlie Brown told me
She hasn't chased a rabbit yet. Mainly because we haven't really got any round here. Squirrels are her favourite.
They dream like we do. About the big things in our lives. And also about random stuff too. They dream about us alot too ive read.
Would be great if we could ask them. Same as asking her why she decided to trash the porch...
Mailmen
It makes her day when the mailman turns up. Barking away.
Lovely rifle. To convert the small rust patch to patina, gently use a wire brush, then apply a dollop of Ballistol oil and leave for a day, wrapped in cling film. Wipe off the gloop and apply more Ballistol, gently wire brush again and wipe off. I have treated several rusty air guns this way and it improves their looks no end.
It's a nice one for sure. I used Napier oil and a soft brass brush. Then left the oil on to work its magic, wiped off and applied legia spray. All good now 🤞🏻
Wish my MOT tester had the same opinion about my Punto a couple of years ago.
You should have taken it to Vending Auto Services. Our MOT tester had a white stick and a golden retriever.

If I’m being honest the sten is probably the best looking replica weapon my M1 garand from Denix is more of a red colour I have got a deac M1 now and it is a massive improvement but I can’t wait to get my sten 🤙🏻🤙🏻🤙🏻
The Denix Garand was a disappointment for me, I looked at it and then bought an MP44 instead. The Sten is pretty good, I do like mine. I've done a lot of work to my SMLE and K98 to improve realism, spoiler alert-the K98 may have gone through rather drastic surgery but is all the better for it. That red woodstain that Denix uses is truly awful, why they can't use a brown stain (that ideally doesn't stink) is beyond me.
Apart from the galling issue, piston seal failure and the fact best to remove and replace the protective grease before use . Its a lovely rifle to own but the stock has a lump cut out why it was done I dont know . Time Wh got it all sorted ?
I agree with you completely, the QC is a bit too loose, some bad ones keep slipping by the net. I think the cutout in the stock is for shooting sat with the rifle rested (which is a bad idea with a springer). The left arm of a right handed shooter would go under the butt, the cutout rests on the arm. That's how I shoot PCPs, rimfire, centre-fire, some of them have a similar feature in the butt. Alternatively it might just be so it looks funky...
Great video well I find it interesting off to ally express now
Thank you, very much appreciated.

Thank you for watching 🇬🇧
Want to apologise for my previous joke comment Nick. It was meant to try and lighten the situation a little but was mistimed and thoughtlessly crass. You did me a great favour not long ago and that joke was bad form from me, I'm too used to using gallows humour to deal with stuff in life, l don't always consider others have different methods of coping. Once more apologys.
I have both and love them both. The 45 is also very accurate.
They are both really good, likewise I love mine too. For me the Compact edges it for the ergonomics, making it easier for me to shoot. But back when I was a kid I was very accurate with the 45, but then it was all I had so I used it almost nonstop.
@ these are the nicest pistols I have ever had and shot. The gas cilinder is strong and every time the same power. Last week i bought the Gamo HPA MI Maxxim IGT Mach1 With the same power cilinder.
I wish I had bought the MPA, they seem to be very good rifles. All the best, Nick

😢 that absolutely sucks
Yep. I'm gutted.
That's grim lad how many shots before this happened ?
Barely even 100 shots. Absolutely gutted.
I would not start the threads with the two faces flush. It appears to be designed so that the threads are fully through the firs section before starting into the gun mount side.
Hello thank you for your comment much appreciated. Yes, that's the design. However the casting is not clean on the mating surfaces so they don't align properly, plus the mount clashes with the front pad. Will be relatively easy to rectify, but a bit irritating.
Windage (Left right shift) change when using different sets of pellets: it's all down to the seal in a rifled barrel, the differences in skirt size, material density and weights all of which impact the pellets rotation and retention of spin from the barrels rifling to the existing the muzzle. None of this has any specifics towards muzzle energy, it's about friction and spin rate and how much the Skirt of any pellet is manipulated by the barrel. ie: cheaper production quality pellets are likely to be majority lower grade lead and moulding finish / finer manufacturer pellets (Skirts) are more likely to adapt and adopt the cuts in the barrels rifling, holding back pressure and deforming to the rifling = maximising spin retention,. So to summarise your shots off zero to the left for example are due to pellet spin and where that ends due to the strength of the spin, vice versa for well manufactured pellets and spin. "Always zero to the scope or sight to the pellet your rifle prefers (and you'll work this out by grouping consistency). 👍 A year late but that's the science.
Thank you, much appreciated 👍🏻 Most people were blaming my shooting, which was nice of them 😉.
