Power batten? That is interesting and what it appears to allow you to do is to increase the roach of the sail or make the leech less hollow. This is an example of using the proper terms.

Do you call that tech talk? As an engineer it is really hard to listen to. There are technical terms to describe these features that you're talking about. Why don't you use the proper terminology? Tell us the difference in the lift the drag ratio. Tell us the difference in the stiffness of the aluminum versus the carbon. Tell us the difference between the torsional stiffness and the bending stiffness. Don't tell us a bunch of fluff. Raise the bar.

I got my foil and mast used and they were bolted to a wakeboard for boat use using hardware bolts. When I tried putting it on a board with slots the hex heads seem like they could damage the slots. What do the right bolt heads look like? Round mushroom heads? How about washers? How tight are you cranking it down? I'm using wing nuts and haven't actually tried it in the water. Finger tight seems solid but any more results in a crinkly noise due to the hex heads. Still struggling on a sup with no center skeg and getting blown downwind. Thinking about strapping the wakeboard and foil to the bottom of the sup and see if it'll fly. Sadly the board I have is probably for surfing. It's a Slingshot but low volume. Guessing around 60litres. Been looking for a thicker board but they're close to a thousand dollars. Thinking about taping a boogie board to the deck for more volume and soft protection.😂

informative review, thanks. could you elaborate on the difference between ion seek AMP and SELECT? there is quite a bit of a price difference but difficult to tell how they relate to each other. To complicate even further, assuming that a SELECT is warmer than an AMP, how would a SELECT 5/4 compare to an AMP 6/5?

I drive 4 hours to Hood River wind and come back home way too soon beat up from this single weak point in my progression. Hi ↩️is it easy to Jibe strapless? After first 30 degrees turn,i push wing out side and 👉i try keep board flat👈, when i release back hand from the handle= 👉board is unstable👈 even with good stable speed, my back feet is on the mast , and front feet at 45 degrees, both on the center line of the board, i try to bend my ankles to be lower.. how can i fix this issue?

Thanks for the video! Sounds good as a start. Would that work if I only change the front wing from one size to another? I have ridden a 1250 cm2 front wing and I am able to find the sweet spot on it but lately I have tried twice a faster front Wing which has 740 cm2 on the same board and mast but I felt a lot of backfoot pressure! But when I hold on it on the ground the way you show us I don't feel any difference!

Curious on best technique to go upwind, I didn’t hear anything specific? Would it be heel pressure and leaning back against the wing as you sheet in and bringing the wing back slightly ? Coming from windsurfing background . Thanks

Something that helped me a lot and isn't always mentioned, is mast placement on the board. I moved my mast 1/2 an inch back from center position on the track and it made a huge difference in foil control once on foil. My feet suddenly felt equally balanced and I was able to fly much much longer and felt very much in control. Where as before I felt I was rising much too fast and felt it was hard to keep the nose down.

I am not really happy with the carve/turn from MA1750, do you think it would be worth changing to HA1180 also for lightwind Wingfoiling? Thanks
