Thanks much for the excellent review. I met Mark at San Juanico BCS Mexico who is foil surfing with one of these. I think he has a 1400. He's crushing it. I'm jealous. He's been routinely riding 1 mile from Second Point to the Panga launch. I'm not sure why, but he cut the tips off his.I need a wing like this so I can do the same. I'll be considering the Seven Seas.

100% agree with you, RC!! And because it's quite a thin profile it doesn't need much pressure from the wing, but still produces enough lift to get going in light wind. The upwind angle is just nuts. Pity I can't post a photo; it's usually around 45degrees into the wind at good speed. (using a Duotone Unit'22 or Slick SLS) Very smooth and efficient in turns. The downwinders are the best (Only superseded bij the Eagle 990) Rider profile: 53y.o, 95kg and little talent for wing foiling. Previous foil: 1480FCT. I've had an odd 25 sessions on the 1400 and 1200. The 1200 produces less lift which is even more crazy in zig-zag flat water downwinding, but is only 3km/h faster. I'd recommend the 1400 as a light wind foil. But have used it on flat water in 32kts, too. The stab allows for shimming, which gave me 2,5km/h extra. If you are looking at buying just one foil, the 1400 will deliver. Very well thought out top-notch equipment, hands down!

Thanks for the review. Would like to ask what mast length do you use for Wingfoil and Surffoil using the 1400? What is the volume/dimensions of your surf foil board? How do you like the 1400 for surf foiling?

Hi Rou, this was really helpful. Was pretty set on getting a Seven Seas and funnily enough met Jack at the beach on Sat and mentioned it. I'm 80kg, so wondering how much you weigh to see if I'd be better with the 1200 for a 1 wing quiver. Or in in fact the 1400 is still the call. I'm currently just progressing off the Gravity 1800 so I guess the 1400 might be the safer bet. Cheers

Hi Sam, I'm 85kg so not a million miles from you, the 1400 is a good one foil quiver, I have a 5m and 3.5m wings and I've even been out in 45knots and been able to hold on just fine. It's really well made and doesn't get overpowered easily but still offers a good low end. It's quite a step up from the 1800 Gravity so I would say the 1400 will be easier and you will progress faster...
