Treble Cone as a good beginner destination made me chuckle. It's easy one of the worst beginner hills I've ever been to. The beginner green is an icy single pomma and the 'green' central one is super steep and thin.

Wrong - Hannamaki Airport is only one hour from Api Kogen, and Aomori Airport about 1 hr. 45 min. Also, ski Api one day and then hit Shizukuishi the next.

It is sad to see so many great little family ski areas closed - they were great local places to learn to ski as a kid, especially if they were close enough to go every evening.

You have should also tell the people that this TOP 10 are the expenciest ski resorts ever.Sorry but they are not my top 10.Whe have much much more beautiful places here and where the pices are cheaper than this places 😛😛greedings from Austria.

Hold my beer, no mention of Mont Fort?, Mont Gele? If you indeed started at 3300m, you started on the top of Mont Fort. The better entry into Tortin would have been Mont Gele (expert free ride only terrain - no pistes!) Those are even lift serviced and on a trail map! If anyone really wants to ski the bees knees then go up to Piz Gloria (no, not #10 or the inferno - that's for tourists) - no, what you do is drop the skis over the railing of Piz Gloria Summit station, jump over yourself (need a lot of snow cuz the drop could be over 20 feet) and immediately collect (hide) yourself under the tram station becuase this is most certainly not legal. Then launch off the cliff (Corbet's style) into the bowl run right under the tram line. I dunno why people measure in % (like #10 is supposed to be 80% ... extreme starts at 100%+) - easier to imagine is that this run is the longest sustained 55°+ (DEGREE) pitch outside of Valdez. Glen Plake's run down the Dam in Verbier was 60° (limit of skiability). Anyone else ever drop into this line? bonus1: According to their website, the SCHILTHORNBAHN 20XX project is the steepest cable cars in the world . As a Skier and snowboarder from Australia falls creek and Perisher are the top resorts that I’ve been to.

I never saw well prepared slopes in Austria.

Hardest ski run ever idea: Backwards, one ski only, icy moguls that appear randomly, no vision, no hearing, upside down tungsten poles that each weigh 50 pounds, doing the Macarena, solving rocket science equations and the 7 million dollar math equations, 24 hour slope, have to start at the top, a mosquito bit your nose at the start, 89 degree slope, no stopping, you randomly have to complete a 710 degree spin jump every 10 seconds, you only get the completion once to do a quintuple backflip onto the spiky platform at the bottom and completely and fluently recite every last script Shakespeare ever wrote while alternating between mandarin and ancient Egyptian and keep a steady 5 words a second and not ever messing up, you have to stay on the course for the entire time, you have to win the lottery, balance a tea cup on your head the entire time, you are starving, and you have a child on your back.
