Seeing Hanzo makes me play the game differently, and the same goes for Widow. I have to focus on my movement when I see him because one slip-up of movement, and you just get one shot. It's just annoying, to be honest, because you're constantly on edge, and no other heroes force me to play this scared except Widow to a degree. The good thing is that he gets hard countered by Pharah, Echo, and sometimes Genji, and these heroes will force the Hanzo player to swap most of the time

i feel like aside from this, maybe they should add some kind of death protection into shield health where you can't pierce the shield health unless it's broken first, or, a one-shot on a full shield only depletes the shield health and not any normal hp. this is how warframe does it. I don't know if it would be a good or bad change, but it would add more counter play to snipers, who would have to wait until someone's shield health was damaged or depleted before they could oneshot that character maybe that would be TOO far of a swing in the opposite direction, though.

If everyone played like argge (pls subscribe) I would imagine Hanzo would actually pass the hero fantasy check as a deliberate non flashy bow ninja, unfortunately we do not live in heaven. I think the changes are cool on this one, I do find it interesting how you never touch on dragon strike or sonic arrow like... at all; but I suppose those are just the unproblematic parts of his kit and therefore irrelevant to the video.

First of all, this is a really great video, found it through reddit. I don't like how there are so few small-scale healing utilities in the game, like biotic field on Soldier. Why did Bastion have to lose the self-healing when, in many compositions, bastion typically demands more healing than other damage characters? I think all characters gaining a self-heal will improve the game, but I also think it is only the first step to better balance which would involve more role overlap in currently role-specific utility.

Easy fix. Give everyone rechargeable shields like Zen, Symmetra, and Zarya. That way everyone has a rechargeable buffer for when shit hits the fan, but without healing they’ll stay squishy underneath the barrier. You could probably tweak it so tanks get the most, dps get the least, and supports get the middle ground on shield health.

Well, you’re showing it by saying that it’s easier to hit hard as it close is showing how are you? Don’t play the character and are just assuming these things. You should honestly try playing him for 500 hours at the least and only try to play him and close up engagements and you tell me how that goes for you.

And then you go on to state that he has no weaknesses literally at all? Then you go on to state all of his weaknesses to begin with positioning zone and weaknesses those are his weaknesses to begin with man, you can’t even fight of close half the fucking time because you’ll just get melted because you cannot rapidfire, so there goes up close so you can be easily dived by any dive hero, Devo shut you down. If she focuses you for even an instant monkey can easily dive you tracer can easily dive you, unless you are of the top one percent of Hanzo, players, a.k.a. Arrge who is sometimes it barely manages to get any value from the character whatsoever sometimes his place that was so undefined in the random in the first place, that he had to create his own place style for Hanzo to begin with

You act like these characters share absolutely no similarities in their weaknesses, but they share the exact same similarities. At least Widowmaker has a get out of jail free card in terms of her grapple that takes her upwards of over 20 m. If she is dived, at least she has a defined play style in which you could actually derive value. Hanzo’s has no defined distance where you can drive value. There is no defined play style, so that inherently makes it harder to even get any kind of value in any given game to begin with.

It’s kind of weird how are you state that Hanzo has no inherent weaknesses bro he locks an arrow at a rate of over one second per arrow close quarters combat barriers are his weakness. What are you talking about given how Genji hard counters hanzo because he’s able to get in his face, reaper counters, Hanzo when he’s able to teleport behind him and get in his face, Symmetra, hard counters, hanzo’s, when she’s able to teleport in lay down‘s hurt and get in his face, also he can’t shoot through barriers so that weakness is apparent for both characters simultaneously
