Just coming from an Asian person's perspective. You have to just not care about anyone's opinion.. you live your life the way you want to. Just because you're a Ftm doesn't always mean you have to be "manly" be you. I know plenty of cis-men who are just like you not too feminine or too masculine. You're never going to be completely happy until you're fully accepting yourself. I hope your perspective on this whole thing is a lot different today my friend. Keep your head up.. You have to do things for yourself not others. Accept yourself and you'll start making others feel comfortable.

I get what you are saying about trans people in the media, but I do think it is important for us to have a presence there. It would be better if the focus of it weren't on the transness, and instead just having trans characters as normal people. If there had been that kind of exposure when I was growing up, it would have helped me figure things out faster and also to feel normal.

I am a foreigner living in Taipei. It was interesting hearing your take on things, especially passing here versus passing in Canada. I think because I'm a foreigner, I have the opposite experience. I sometimes pass here as a little boy, but I'd never pass there (I'm not on testosterone). How often do you come back to Taiwan?

I like your honesty in your videos, Makes them more interesting. I'm not trying to be rude or disrespectful to anyone, I've watched like a 100 videos, I get it that the Ftm topics are the same, everyone wants to tell it from their own perspective, but most of the times people talk & give the exact same tips about for example how to dress/how to pass/how to use the bathrooms. I do respect every ftm, who finds the courage to post a video on TH-cam.

I totally get you about not being super happy about trans people being in the media. I feel that mix of jealousy, annoyance at the exposure, desire to stay out of sight, but also joy that average people might have a better understanding of trans people. I'm not sure what to make of it either. Also, your hair looks great! And you're in general looking great too! I've been following your channel for a while, and every time you post a new video I get so excited to hear how you are. Thanks for sharing your experiences over the years!

I highly recommend sub cutaneous injections in your tummy area or wherever is recommended by your doc. The needles are significantly smaller. I found this to be much better on the anxiety levels than the intramuscular injections.

wow your experience with being in a female dominated field seems to totally coincide with the "glass escalator" effect. It shows that in contrast to women in male-dominated field not being promoted past a certain stage (the glass ceiling), men in female-dominated fields are promoted faster and paid more than the females they work with because men are seen as more competent and naturally better leaders..

is it just me or do all ftm videos seem to get a lot of positivity. Not a bad thing just surprising given the society we live in. All Yay for america. Today is the day of a new beginning for all LGBTQ people.

And just to add to that, I'm also FTM, and I'm going to start testosterone without wanting to let my family know, becuz u know, my parents don't want other people to know either, I totally understand, I'm studying in the US right now and I'm going to start maybe in March :) it would be awesome if I could get contact with you~

I liked the video and that stuff of fitting in the male or female is always a problem. It's like if you don't do these things who only do girls or guys you are weird. I have been thinking about for so long i don't even know what i say. Sometimes i would like to be a guy and sometimes a girl haha it would be great to have some power to switch bodies haha :) And the thing they respect men more is SO true. It's like i have to scream to be heard.

Though I definitely have to say that you seem more confident and happy with yourself. So happy for you! Its amazing how much body language supposedly communicates gender identity.... I say, do whatever is most comfortable for you and don't be bothered with all of the gender stereotypes of what it means to be masculine.

i don't feel comfortable when ppl say "oh, but that person doesn't even look like a trans/person" etc. I feel like "well what DOES look like a transgender then? There's no such thing like that." It makes me very uncomfortable. People should be really careful with what they're saying. I'm very happy for you. You should feel proud you're passing so good! but I also know the struggle. With relationships etc ugh. Same. It's hard fitting into the "male box" when you're near ppl who think you're cis. Idk.

Hey man, did you talk to your doc about stopping the anti-anxiety meds (if they were the ones who prescribed them)? Might be a bit late now, but sometimes docs like to taper you off dosage-wise so you don't get hit hard with the side effects from going cold turkey.
