No female members of staff should be left alone in the back of an ambulance with someone feeling suicidal, and who's already admitted having access to a knife. She would have stood no chance if he flipped out.
Perhaps the only good thing about US’ greedy health care system is that it allows us to have private ambulance services. This significantly reduces the wait time but you might also need to sell a kidney to be able to pay for it
I wonder if David’s nosebleed is due to him having had Covid and maybe it’s his sinuses that are bleeding?🤷♀️ I think Evelyn can be a little miserable sometimes even when she’s not hurting. Poor Albert. I had numerous relatives pass from COPD. Condolences to his family.
The person that had passed away on the train tracks made me remember my son‘s friend who when she was 18 and was being pushed by her family to become a doctor and she did not want to become a doctor at all. Her family never budged and her life was unbearable for her and her friends all knew this, but they never thought that she would do what she did. It’s what we call a sky train here and she was meeting her friends to go to the mall so her friends were in the train and they saw her at the station and then they didn’t see her and the train came to a screeching halt. I cannot imagine what she felt about life put there by her parents and family to end it in such a terrible way. They say that the number of suicides that they have in London is up by 1/3 I believe and I don’t doubt that it’s like that in places around the world, including where I live. If you can’t make it in this life working a full-time job, something’s wrong. I think that’s where we’ll would love to go back and we live the 70s and the 80s because financially for us. It was so much easier to survive than it is now.
The very first patient, the one that collapsed in the police van... WHY DIDN'T YOU GIVE HIM NASAL NARCAN RIGHT AWAY?!!?!?!? The police said they thought drugs were involved, that should have been instant Narcan up the nose. Police even carry it on them in the US because of how effective it is, not sure about the UK. I was screaming at my computer when she started bagging him and they did IV Narcan instead of the nasal spray. They wasted valuable minutes that could have been the difference between life and death or a life with permanent brain/heart damage.
I really love these shows!! Ron/Ralph was born the same year that my husband was 1946. That was a lot of cigarette smoking going on in his life that’s for sure. My husband passed away in 2021. My husband didn’t smoke. He passed away on our front lawn after cutting the grass and just doing things outside. The coroner said It was if his life switch was just turned off. They figured it was his heart and just everything just shut down all at once and that he died. He had the most peaceful relaxed look on his face that I had ever seen in our 31 years marriage. I was 16 years younger than him and it broke my heart losing him. I feel sad for Steven‘s death as he was 62 years old, my age and he looked so ill. I was hoping that they were going to figure out what was wrong with him, maybe they did, but there was nothing that could be done for him, poor guy. My condolences to his wife.
to answer that question of why they don't give the homes that are already is one simple reason GREED plain and simple. now a days its not what can I do for you its more what can you do for me and how much can you give me for your basic rights of living in a place that is not so toxic that not even a damn mouse should live there let alone a person
I can’t find it now, but I thought somebody asked where the word ambulance came from or was it on the show? Well, anyways, I looked it up and here it is from Wikipedia. The term ambulance comes from the Latin word ambulare as meaning 'to walk or move about' which is a reference to early medical care where patients were moved by lifting or wheeling. The word originally meant a moving hospital, which follows an army in its movements. 🥰🥰
I think that all EMT's/Paramedics should be trained on how to use taser and they should be allowed to carry one in the ambulance in case of an emergency where their life is in danger. and also I think that female Paramedics should ever be paired up with another female not saying females are weak but men might be able to protect the female Paramedic. or if it has to be both female than they should be allowed to carry pepper spray with them since they know how to stop the burning of the pepper spray.
I could honestly say I had the chills throughout this show. You have Christine, who was not wanting to go to the hospital and that kind sweet paramedic talk to her and convinced her she would be better off going. My condolences to her family. I just feel so bad that she passed away. And again that kind sweet paramedic talk to the woman into going into the hospital. I felt so sad for her, not having a husband or children nobody in the world if I could, I would write to her and be a penpal to her. I hope she’s doing well . The things that these paramedics go through and the ones who receive the calls go through is so Stressful and yet every day they show up for their shift. What would the people of London do without these amazing intelligent people?! This is an easy one to answer, they would suffer. Thank you for another amazing video showing us what these brave people go through every day meanwhile showing us the beauty of London!!🥰🥰🩷🩷🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟💖🌟🌟
Sad to say yes it is. In London, so many things are out of reach for the normal income family. The UK is very expensive to live in and they’re finding it more and more each day that families are totally going without eating because of the cost of living over there. It’s really sad.
There's a reality that we've all got to wake up to. Lot's of money is thrown at the NHS but where does it go? Not to front-line primary care services but a bloated bureaucracy with a mindset stuck in 1948 and so intellectually sclerotic that neither can nor more will not change. The priority issue is the engorgement of bureaucrats funded by people's taxes and NI contributions.
What a great service for the people of London!! They should could use some more ambulances and paramedics. Felt bad that the woman had a miscarriage. I had one when I was 4-5 months pregnant and it devastates you. I really appreciate that you can apply for a certificate recognizing the baby. I wish they had that in 1983. Thank you for a wonderful and knowledgeable video. Thanks to all concerning with the ambulance service and the 999 call Center. 🥰🥰🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
Ellis and Jane were so gentle and kind to the woman suffering from mental illness and alcoholism. I liked how Ellis talked to her son and related to him, his personal side of a group that help him deal with the one that is an alcoholic in his family. I thought that was so sweet of him.🥰 I think Ellis and Jane really work well together they make a great team.🌟🌟 I hope Michelle is doing good now and she could stay sober for the rest of her life. She has taken on a great cause.🤗 I love seeing the elderly woman who became a great grandma for the first time, Congratulations Great Grandma.🥰🩷 My condolences to the families that lost loved ones. My heart always feels heavy whenever I’ve seen ones at the end of the video who have passed away. 💔 Watching the 999 call receivers working their special magic and getting people the help that they need is so great. They certainly are professionals at their careers!!💖💖
Not referencing true emergency situations or folks without means to pay for cars or the elderly... But it surprises me how many none urgent calls are made to UK ambulances. We have free (somewhat, though pay for ambulance rides) here in Canada. Don't know if it's growing up rural but you'd be hard pressed to find the sickest person call for an ambulance here. You'd literally have to be dying to have an ambulance attend you. Otherwise, no matter how sick or injured, we drive ourselves, have someone else, or take a bus. It's a cultural thing I think and perhaps financial. I didn't even know it wasn't free until a family member was in a car wreck and was charged over $300 for a scoop and run.
I wish the paramedics hadn't given the lady with mold false hope. Why would they think decent housing would magically appear for her-and lead her to think so, too?
Obviously it depends on location and resources, but that’s why police show up first for most medical calls. How horrible for them, and then the brick attack went unpunished as well! I don’t know anything about UK law but if the assault is recorded and crystal clear, idk how he got out of it
On March 16, 2017, New York City Fire Department emergency medical technician (EMT) Yadira Arroyo was murdered in the Bronx, New York, United States. 25-year-old Jose Gonzalez ran over Arroyo with her own ambulance, killing her and injuring her partner. Multiple crews went off calls to respond to whats called a 10-13 may she rest in peace. There needs to be a national law that protects any emergency worker from dispatchers to tow truck drivers
I didn’t even notice that until I read your comment!! Most rock climbing places by law they have to use a harness. I don’t know why they weren’t using harnesses here.
Here here the crew who helped the gentleman with bipolar was first class and so sympathetic to his circumstances very well done ! David Young 40 Brisbane Australia.
They all do a fantastic job.I also love these programs. I also watch Full Throttle TV2 . He puts on some great series. I hope you have a great day 🙂⚘️.
People do not realize that when you work on an ambulance you see way too much trauma and have little comradery with other crews. You get little to no support for emotional damage PTSD. People do not usually stay in this field very long.

Intense episode and I hope that sweet man wasn't the one who ended his life towards the end 😢

I pay for TH-cam to have NO adverts, so forcing them on me as part of the video will make me unsubscribe 👎

Best baileys promotion ever 🎉😂
First guy didn’t even say thank you!
“How is your pain at the moment?” “I have no idea.” “That’s good. That’s good.” 😂😂😂
What happened to daniel
Why don't they call cabs to the hospital, when minor injured? Is it that expensive?

Thank you to all that serve. Thank you for doing what you do and the little things you do in between. It's not easy.

I see greed in London housing is as bad as here in the states
They needs body cams now
good show

Thoughts are always with Dan's family and friends, and Ellie 💕💐 From this show, you can tell how wonderful and caring Dan was

Impressed how you handled the mental health person, so respectful!👍
He's ON VIDEO!! How was he found NOT GUILTY? You failed that woman London! Shame on you
I’d go home and brag about working with Laura too, she’s totally gorgeous.
I have epilepsy. I don't have a seizure, just blackout.
Don’t they use harnesses❓Crazy. I would never do this without a harness. This is why.

I can’t always understand what you’re saying, but I enjoy hearing it. My great grandmother was from Scotland.
The craft group I go to knit trauma teddies for the ambos to give to children they tend to. I live in Townsville. Queensland Australia
That is so wonderful of all of you to do that!! Thank you!!😍😍🥰🥰🩷🩷
This was a fantastic episode. Have a great day my friend ❤️🙂⚘️🚑.
Respect to all emergency services my Dad was a fireman
4:30 does it automatically translate or something?
The man that attacked the woman and her baby was found NOT guilty in court? Wtf
Love these programmes

@44:37 “everyone’s givin you the clap” means something a LOT different this side of the pond 🫣
😂just your normal stroke calls. Im sorry but what? That isn't normal 😭
stroke calls are pretty much an every day thing haha, you get a feel for what’s bad compared to what’s really bad.
I think these two gentlemen are great❤️

Your London ambulance staff do wonderful assistance to these persons. Well done, all of you.
