This video is gold. People never understand me when I tell them that the big selling point of this title is the music & characters. I just felt very underwhelmed by the last Fire emblem game since all tracks felt... bland (And characters too). I'm not sure if Edelgard has her own theme though. I understand your point and I kinda live that associate that leitmotiv with edelgard but that might be because she was my first run. In any case maybe it's just the confrontation or "change" theme as you described it. Otherwise I just feel as if Edelgard is just the main character of the game (which yeah, she is by far the more polished one of the 3 protagonists and sadly her route is the least complete giving the least answers) But isn't Chasing Daybreak what we could call Dimitri's theme? I kind of link that one to Azure's Moon route. And the music feels as if it wants to go "Between heaven and Earth" at any moment but everything is just too clouded and sad to actually erupt. It's like a tale of redemption, failed epicness. It feels as a sad struggle at being a hero tbh. Quite honestly, I don't specially like Dimitri as a character. It feels kinda bland compared to the others. Blue lions and Azure Moon is like the vanilla Fire Emblem experience. I'm glad my first route was with the Black Eagles. And what are your thought about Tearing through heaven? I'm not finding any resemblance to the rest of the themes. Do you think it's just a generic random battle theme? EDIT: I just caught a bit of Edelgard there after listening it again. I really love this video. Great work.

i love how he's the dumbest smartest member in the party, the most loveable and hateable, trustworthy and least trustworthy i can't help but like him as he's just a creation of his environment and went a little insane but he had the possibility to change given the "false" and his dying wish, had he been more sane he'd have been your bro and rival also the reason i say fake in quotes if it may be my own theory or head canon, but i like to think that the "dream" atechi isn't fake from your mind but his soul, you all came into contact with the main threat before, who's to say he couldn't feel that atechi wanted more and to do good so he just gave him back his body, which would explain why he would have to go during teh ending scene but shows up on the train, he either in the world reset by morgana got reborn changed or his soul was given back to the world as he wasn't evil but rather forced to be that way and wasn't sane thanks to his trauma, he with full heart just wanted to better teh world, he just didn't realize he was doin it the wrong way until it was too late, only after joining the gang do you see that he actually liked them all but growing up with only hatred he doesn't understand love and sees it as weakness which is why he only ever admits Joker as a friends, someone he trusts so much as they were basically brothers after everything happened

i love how persona just works, two completely different games and stories and yet the music fits it as a perfect intro theme

One of my favorite parts of fe3h ost is that some of the related songs have related names For example: A promise and unfulfilled are variations of each other and together are a promise unfulfilled showing how the "promise" of the happy days of the monastery lasting forever was unfulfilled And blue skies and a battle + between heaven and earth together become blue skies and a battle between heaven and earth. They're both very similar but obviously blue skies and a battle is the "incomplete" version since its foreshadowing to the real battle of gronder field later on in the story. It's no longer just a friendly competition under blue skies but an actual battle between different views, between heaven and earth
