Could you integrate this through an API from other apps _to_ Raycast? For example, the ability for my app to start a focus session in Raycast from within the app. Would be cool if you could do IPC like Extensions API but for third-parties.

I installed Raycast just a couple days ago and I am overwhelmed honestly! In a good way. Most of the time I use only half of an apps' power because I keep forgetting the shortcuts or use cases in which it would be helpful. Raycast has helped me so many times already, it is crazy! Definitely my favorite app. Thanks! BTW nice book (Magnum Streetwise 📸) 😉

How did Theo get the history to show up underneath the calculation section? I have a calculator history item, but it's in like a separate view. Having it inline with the calculator itself seems really nice.

Getting started with it tonight

I noticed it quits the apps. Suggestion: When I finish my focus session it should automatically re-launch those apps again instead of making me manually go and launch those apps up again when I'm done with my focus session.

Is creating a window layout with two windows of the same app an option? I'd like to set up two Finder windows side by side to move files.

My switchover moment came after months of struggling with Alfred, and the horrific Alfred workflow graphical buildger thing, and Alfred workflows others had built that just never ever worked. Then one day I installed Raycast, assigned a command key to the "Paste OTP Code" extension, and the next time I received an sms message with a login code, typed commad-option-v, and there it was. There are things I miss from Alfred, yes. Mostly that you can get lost in Raycast's tree-like organisation, while Alfred always starts out ready to tackle the next job. But a hint for the developers at Alfred, Raycast, and every one of the dozen or more email apps I've tried recently: If you can pull OTP codes out of email messages as smoothly as Raycast pulls them. out of sms messages, I'm ready to jump again. I know those codes are improving our security dramatically, but that doesn't mean I don't hate them more every time I have to stop working to figure out which account on which device I have to access to get the code!

would like you to implement tags and thus a simple tag-structure like bear in a menu similar to the ai chat. 🙂

Great addition, but more logical to invert the logic I think. "I only wanna use XYZ" vs "Let me think of a million apps I don't want". Maybe it's just me.

I tried it out however doest work well. I like the way it looks but still getting Imessage notifications, still getting WhatsApp messages from web through ARC although I have included them in the list of items to be blocked.

is an extension ever going to be available on Arc?

This is awesome - just discovered Raycast today, it has got rid of about 4 other apps. This option might get rid of Tiles too. Would it be possible to have window layouts over multiple screens? Keep up the good work, I think I'm going to have to subscribe now :)

A really cool plugin would be a away to highlight a clip and then search resolve effects on edit tab with Raycast. So you could highlight a clip search the effect with Raycast and Effect would add to clip. Sort of like the way you add nodes in fusion. Because there's no way to hit a keyboard shortcut to search effects with in the edit page . You are forced to use the mouse and hit the search bar at the top of the panel. It'd be very cool. I use and love raycast regardless and I don't know if this would be possible. But it would be fixing something I've been trying to figure out for a long time. I have a keyboard shortcut To focus on the effects panel In the edit page But you can't search it without a mouse click. And you can't set specific effects to a keyboard shortcut other than your default transition. " Which drives me bonkers" I have no idea how to do it. Don't know if it's possible .. But Raycast can do other similar things. It wold be like snippets But specifically for DaVinci resolve effects Or and other effects from other programs as well. Anyway just thought I'd throw it out there.

The focus websites doesn't seem to work in Firefox. Is there a fix for this, it does work well with Safari? However, I use Firefox as my daily driver browser.

I love raycast ❤, however I open apps from karabiner elements. Will the focus "block" work if I swith to an app or open it from another tool?

I didn't know the capture window option. I wanted to try it but every shortcut i entered in the settings seems to not do anything. :/
