It was an awful building and in my view the awards were a con trick. I walked through it every day in the 70s and it was a dead, litter strewn place. The new city hall makes a far better statement and the new housing on the old site looks great.

The new train cars are much better except that they feel much more shaky, and being able to see through all the cars only adds to that

These thing are bloody awful, they bounce around constantly. Two days ago, one bounced around a corner and I hit my head on the roof, then the door I was standing at opened 2 inches and broke and I had to run up the carriage to the next one. I know two people personally who have had these cars break down mid tunnel and they've had to walk through wet tunnels to get out. These things are a joke.

What a nicely made production! Cute and compact, much like the two-thirds scale subway itself. I'm sure that digging out and shoring up those tunnels was a lot more labour intensive when they did it than it would be in this era, so that's understandable and makes your subway nicely distinctive.

They are cute, I never seen that before, but if they stop in a tunnel , I'm not sure that anyone will be able to get out. They seem so close from the wall. Unless you can get out from the front or back. And they are so small, it look very intimate, like a transportation you could think about for a big base somewhere on the moon. They remember me those in Cosmos 1999.

Were the old trains also this bouncy? Apart from that the design is truly terrific

I kinda like the looks, but why are they so suffocatingly small? I'm 185cm and doubt I'd fit comfortably there. You are not supposed to stand there and just crawl inside and fall on the bench? Really weird decision to have such a low ceiling, what about an evacuation, how do you move fast inside this tight space?

Shame they didn't tunnel a north-south line from say clarkston to Bearsden or similar.

Oh dear , I seem to remember the outgoing rolling stock being new back in the day, They were supposed to have ended " the shoogle ". I also remember being taken by a family friend to see the really old trains back in the mid 1960s.

The new ones are shite. The seats are way more uncomfortable than the old carriages and it feels like yer sitting in a Dr’s office.

Absolutely beautiful! On UK type metro the exterior front/back look so ugly with prominent door, bang in centre. This nicely disguises that. As you said, that mirror partition to driver is nice touch. Why driverless, oh well, there's the unemployment benefit and looking forward to being called/thought of as a bum. Next thing to look forward to is homelessness and meaninglessness. Be great when we get our AI implant. Scotland, big shout out for not being barbarians such as South of the Border with the riots. Always thought the British Empire was an English Empire, and that was for the privileged. Rod Stewart got it right when he said he didn't want Brexit.

I hope the re-opening of the other bay platform goes ahead still, it would be a massive benefit, especially when the new Metro fleet eventually comes into service as it could give scope for a more intensive service.

I wish they would stop using fabricated seats for tube trains. They would get so filthy and hard to clean. It would end up looking like the ones in London.

Very nice! Well done, Glasgow. This regular rider of a slightly older (and much dirtier) subway system, is impressed. EDIT: Your system is THAT SMALL? No wonder the trains and stations are so spotless!
