Just subbed !
Welcome, glad to have you!
Dad’s pregame strategies are the best to reduce stress trying to find stuff before and during the games. Especially for horde players constantly misplacing their war supplies!
No stress means better play and more fun!
Good tip about the laser level.
We try to keep it on the level here.
@@AdeptusPaternus This joke is on brand.
The whole channel is just a ploy to allow me to indulge in my worst tendencies. Or should I say, ten-dad-cies.
I really like your style and themes... But for the love of god please stop repeatedly saying "yeah" the whole time the other guy is talking.
Appreciate the feedback! We're still in the early days, so there's lots to learn.
I’m buying a fanny pack now
The fanny pack posse.
Huh. Maybe i should look into getting a fanny pack
Maybe you should 🤔
What, no silly shaped piece of plastic?
There was one small one briefly!
Nurgle can't keep us both down!
Not simultaneously at least.
Great video, thank you! That Dice Tray is getting added to the ole Christmas Wishlist right away.
Oh roll the dice, roll the dice, Rolling all the way. Oh what fun it is to roll In a nice big open tray, hey!
I was summoned by spindly bits! also I now need to see a unit of skitari holding baguettes.
It shall be the next meme.
Picking a bad army as your first army, and sticking with it, often helps make you a really good player. Either your army gets buffed and you feast, or you switch to a better army for your second army and all of the little tricks you mastered to squeeze every drop of efficiency from your primary army comes in hand with the new one. I felt this one when I moved from the slowest army (Death Guard) in the game to one of the fastest (Blood Angels). I suddenly felt like Goku after training in 100x gravity. 😂
We've said the same thing, using the reference! Doubt we'll see Bill playing a new army any time soon though...
Armies are just like kids: you gotta take care of them to have fun yourself.
And through them you vicariously live out fantasies of crushing your enemies!
Had the honour of playing against Bill during the RTT a week ago. Awesome guy, lots of humor, and epic paint schemes!
He's a real pillar of the community!
Knocked another good episode outta the park. Can't wait for the next.
Got lots more lined up for ya!
All animals' knees bend the same way. In dogs they call it the Stifle Joint instead of the knee but it's the same thing. They even have a kneecap. The join you're thinking is the knee, which bends the "wrong way" is actually their ankle joint. It works the same way as ours, they just have WAY longer tarsal bones. Birds, like the ostrich, are the same way. You just can't see their knee joint because it's concealed in their feathers close to their body.
The more you know! But the point still stands, ruststalkers should have legs like ostriches rather than like humans.
You guys got lots of waves and claps from my 1 year old, which is basically the highest honor she can bestow. Not sure on the exchange rate of toddler waves to TH-cam likes is but I’m sure you guys will go viral in no time.
With her support, we've won the internet! In any case, I know I've already gone viral in the literal sense because of my kids this week...
Used too win!!! Pssshhh can't keep me. Down!!! Once I get the list worked out well be going full speed.
Better get it figured out before the next teams tournament!
Thanks for this. Needed chuckles this morning
That's our goal!
If I'm going to lose a game, I'd rather it be my first, because then I get to spend the rest of the event with zero pressure and I can just have fun no matter what happens.
I think it depends on the goal. If you're aiming for fun win or lose, then absolutely. But if you're aiming for excellence, it just puts you on a different track.
I love these videos! I already can't wait until the next video. Thank you, guys, for all the insight and advice.
Thanks for the support! We'll keep em coming!
Another great episode and cool to get a shout out! Definitely learned a lot from our game. Those objective markers belong to OP now
We'll have to get a rematch some time!
Who is the most helpful primarch? Id have to say Rogal Dorn cause hes always willing to lend a hand.
The filer is only AP one you can armor of contempt against it
The entire time Clint was talking about a defiler, he meant forgefiend.
I know this doesn't apply to you guys, but it was nice to focus on one goal for this RTT (scoring better) which I did (91 -84 -95). Now to start putting that together with the rest of the lessons I've learned over the last two months :D Even going 1-2 still learned a ton.
We all start somewhere! What's important is the progress. The overall level of play has also just really improved locally in the past couple of years.
Like most games I tend to enjoy, the skill ceiling is sky high at first. But the pay off once you git gud is worth it.
Store credit!
so what I'm hearing is the lord of skulls is the key to victory?
Apparently!
Personally I tend to be fully on "no longer stress mode" after that first loss I feel much more relaxed over the games from there on out.
True true, though at a GT you can end up in "midtable madness" where some of the saltiest players lurk.
First
First is the worst, second is the best, third is the one with the treasure chest.
Love the vid
Incredible work again fellas, thanks for the shoutout and tips!

Well you won't play your best if you're not having fun.
Appreciate the call out, it pays to be the only person crazy enough to play your army.
Can't wait to have you on the show!
This is my favorite show to put on while I paint my first army! Working on an Inceptor Squad right now.
That's about the best compliment I can think of, thank you!
Took notes on the lists. Totes are perfect for army moving and storage with the magnet sheets at the bottom.
I won't tell you how many of those really useful boxes I have...
Yes Neurochip was suppose to be starflar all my list have that Enhancement.
Figured! Any thoughts on the rest? We spent quite a while talking about your list.
@AdeptusPaternus yes I was trying to go supper suites, maybe more down the road. So I ended up looking at my original list again. Which has 3 strike teams in it.
@@AdeptusPaternus oh and BROADSIDES! Because there the best.
Sadly, Sanguinary Priests can't join Death Company. Instead he joins the Captain and his Assault Intercessor bodyguards to give the unit a 5+ FNP and Fights First in the event they get charged. It might be overkill, but I wanted to virtually guarantee the use of the Captain's abilities. I also agree about the Ballistus Dreadnoughts. I have yet to see them do much of anything despite taking them as my anti-armor unit in a lot of lists this edition. They did a good job being speed bumps or decoys, but that's because my opponent overestimated their offensive output. I like the idea of replacing them with melee oriented dreadnoughts that actually gain some benefit from my detachment rule instead. I also recently acquired a pair of gladiators because I've been so frustrated with the Ballistus' output. As for the BA Captain experiment, it went very well. His unit charged a Custodes Shield-Captain and 5 Custodian Guard on a mid-board objective, and he cleared out the entire bodyguard unit on his own. The Sanguinary Priest and the Intercessor Sergeant finished off the Shield-Captain. It was glorious. They got counter-charged the following turn, and that 5+ FNP came in handy (along with AoC) and I only lost a couple of Intercessors. I wonder if I should consolidate my DC into a 1x10 if I'm only going to bring Lemartes? I lose some flexibility, but that unit turns into a pretty durable and maybe scarier hammer. Thoughts?
You don't have to have the chaplain joined, right? Just within 12". So if it's absolutely necessary for the DC unit without Lemartes to have OC, then just make sure they're not too far from the chaplain. I think you could consider the Lemartes with ten man JPDC, it's not what it used to be, but it's still capable, and you get more for your money with Lemartes. I think an experienced opponent will simply ignore the Ballistuses (Ballisti?). I also am not convinced about the output of gladiator lancers either, and they're definitely more expensive. Try two Brutalis, see how it goes. I need zero convincing of the efficacy of a SM Captain in a unit that buffs him. The enhancement is just the icing on top, lol.
@@AdeptusPaternus Correct, he just needs to be within 12". I do own a pair of Brutalis dreads. Though I wonder if the DC Brutalis is worth taking over the vanilla one.
Once I realized that the DC nought is only 20 points more, I'd say absolutely go for it if you have the points, if only just for the reroll hits!
Daaaaddd!!! Wwoohh what a great series!!!
The more nerfs, the better the wins feel
A point we make in the upcoming video!
Honestly, the Tsons need has gotten me interested in playing them. The Belligerent Wizards meme of double SoT in LR is objectively funny (for me) and is great fun to play. I never would have considered it when cabal point spam was the way to go, but with the nerf other avenues of play are out there to be explored.
Everyone seems to be into terminators these days. They are definitely one of my favorite unit types just for the cool factor.
The nerf to TSons hurt. I get that we were one of the best armies, but you have to understand where we're coming from here. I was already skeptical about 10th edition. They took away our Psychic phase, and they removed our ability to customize our characters with different Psychic powers (which was the one saving grace of our tiny model range) but at least the army was still good and the Cabal system still allowed us to do some fun wizardy stuff. I would have accepted a nerf to auto-take stuff like Magnus, but nerfing our *entire unique model range* by 10% or more, making it much harder for us to stack a decent amount of Cabal Points. We have the smallest unique range in the game, we can't really pivot to other options, this just means we have to take less stuff. It doesn't feel like a measured response, it feels like a "you're having too much fun" kneecapping. I wouldn't be surprised if this drops us below a 50% win rate. You mentioned Clint's Black Templars list going up 120 points; basically every viable TSons army list went up by around that same amount. I love the faction too much to give them up, but all I'm going to say is that our codex had better come soon, and a range update along with it...
Yeah I mean, nerfs always are less fun than buffs, but I think it's a good thing for the game as a whole to get toned down successively. Things by the end of 9th were bananas in terms of damage dealing, folks getting tabled T2, etc.
*Insert crazed viking howling*
