The more I think about this detachment the more I like it. You have the more tools outside of hammerheads to kill the really big stuff which is nice, and a good reason to take lots of cheap trash, which is just especially useful in today's meta.
Before the change to 3" deep strike, I would have agreed with you, but that one change pretty much gutted that detachment. As regards Kauyon and Montka, I think that the buffs are not hard to coordinate with the right list, and they last all five rounds. John's the expert and he's not sure if this is flat out better, so I'll defer to him, but it's definitely at least as good. From my perspective the overall package has a much higher ceiling than the other detachments.
What units are YOU excited to try out in Auxiliary Cadre?
John great dude great player good to see a player of his caliber on the show and get his opinion!!
Hey now, what am I, chopped liver? Lol
Woahhhh I know both these guys! Good stuff fellas

Totally agree, I know I'd much rather face any of the other codex detachments than this.
Thanks for having me Nick! Good fun man
The pleasure was all mine! Looking forward to being on your show to discuss Starshatter.
How many kroot is too many kroot?
I'll leave that one to @tautactics, he'll be making a list idea video about the detachment soon!
Just when I thought Tau were dead and out of luck, we have a great detachment to breath life back into the army! Happy Grotmas!
Just in the nick of time for LVO too!
The detachment is just worse than our other ones. Having to jump through extra hoops just wont work in too many games
