1:55 do those mobile games count as bootleg games? Whether the stuff "those games" series parodies or the asset rips and constant mario knockoffs

I wish developers would stop announcing games before there's a definitive release date.

What immediately caught my eye about AV Bishoujo Senshi Girl Fighting is that it actually looks like it started as a direct port of Bishoujo Senshi Sailor Moon S: Jougai Rantou!? Shuyaku Soudatsusen released for the Super Famicom on December 16th, 1994 that they got partway through and then decided to just wrap up with additional resources they had on hand plus some porn.

Got fond memories of one of those demo discs. Might be mixing 2 up as it has been 25/26 years but it had Rival School, Klonoa, This game where you played as a beach ball navigating platforms and a pool game. This was a UK magazine/disc so doubtful the same was available in other regions.

When it comes to Famicom bootlegs I’m way more familiar with Sachen’s games so this video really helped me learn a lot!

I think of the simple difference being whether you're trapped in the game with the monsters or whether the monsters are trapped in the game with you. I wonder if this video had a follow up. Survival Horror has had some major gems lately, and some IPs that have risen from the dead. And RE has definitely been trying to hone that middle ground.

There’s only a few bootleg companies that make quality games. Hummer team is number 1. None of their titles are garbage, and if you get used to the lacking controls and music you can find a couple good games in there. Also where’s earthworm Jim 3?

The first shovelware I ever played was Ben 10 Galactic Racing. Totally useless game, I was hoping for Ben 10 Cosmic Destruction and received a crap race game for birthday lol

I remember trying these games back in the early days of NES emulation. I thought they were fan games, and never realized they were all related, let alone developed by the same bootleggers. I recall the music being terrible and Tekken not working at all under emulation.

i know these games you mentioned WERE on snes but some of these guys bootlegged originated in the arcades. you saying Street fighter and Mortal kombat as SNES Titles is throwing me off man, LOL

its not how long we wait, its how long were content starved. If we got a small teaser, an update, more music, literally ANYTHING, then we would be 1000 times more content

Some of the crappier NES platformers, like Athena and Astyanax, were crap ports of better Arcade games. Not to say that Athena was ever good in its original incarnation, but the arcade version of Astyanax (weirdly called "The Astyanax") was actually quite decent. The NES was in no way arcade ready for these conversions.

The reason why Steam is so beloved is because they are not kind to developers, they are kind to the consumers, the people with the money, the people who make a store successful.

I really hope team cherry ignores cry babies like you. The game is done when they finish, not before. Your petty swiping and ignorant anger will not make it come out any faster. Is your kickstarter argument that they hinted at a sequel in the original plan? So they got Hollow Knight + 4 DLC’s and that wasn’t enough for backers? Is there any angry backer you can find?

I was a doom fan around the early pandemic and I was blown away from mick's music and I was so exicted when he returned for eternal but once the news broke out I was heartbroken that he'll no longer be working on doom music but kudos to the new composer I've heard of their work and I respect that they're aren't trying to repeat Mick's work. It's truly a Legendary peice of work

It has always blown my mind that anyone considers these types of bootlegs worthwhile. Have played them in various forms over the years, and they all suck pretty bad.

The only other game with as smooth animation on NES as Aladdin was another bootleg - Lion King, I believe made by the Super Game team.

Okay, I understand the crushing weight of this wait. They set the standard incredibly high with Hollow Knight, I am sure they are making sure that Silksong will meet or exceed their standard. I am learning how to Die over and over again until I complete Steel Soul. I'm not getting frustrated when I have to restart! It's another opportunity to get better, Never a failure, Always a lesson. Hollow Knight is my favorite game ever, I'm still playing it.

This must have taken a lot of hours to put together. I love the vibes of these videos man. May I recommend road rash 3 when you get to the genesis. It would also be interesting to see how much the other versions of these games improved when they were ported to more powerful platforms, especially since you've already played what could be considered their inferior versions.

Glad you enjoyed Bionic Commando. It can be hard to get into but once you get used to the grapple hook it really picks up. It also has a great ending that surprised my friend and I when we were young, it is rather violent too. Spoilers : . . The enemies you are fighting are Not sees. The end is literally you shooting Shitler in the head and his head exploding.
