I bought one of these on a whim about 10 years ago. I have never used it, I wouldn't know what to use it for, tbh, and I don't want to bang it up and damage it. It is a BEAST. I've never seen a handle so ... robust ... and I can't overstate that. It's very wide, so it completely fills your hand like no other knife handle I have ever held. I've come to admire this beast of a knife. Mine came with the sharpener pictured, which may well be the best sharpener I've ever owned or used. I keep it in my kitchen to use as needed on my multitools and other outdoor/crafting blades. The sheath that came with my Parry Blade is different than the one in the video. It's pretty useless and that's one of the reasons I don't use the knife. I wish someone would come out with a kydex sheath, something really nice. I tend to use Mora knive's or a USAF survival knife for garden/yard work, but once every couple of years I pull out the Parry Blade and admire its beastliness.

i have a pair of these boots amazing boots i spend alot of time out in all weathers working and training my dogs and they have never let me down ive worn lowa boots for years best boots out there in my opinion

This is powerful enough to stir fry with a wok. I love mine, if anyone tried to nick it I'd just brain them with the thing. Aspen 4 is the fuel mate. Better than the Coleman it's cleaner. It's about 20 quid for 5 a Litre can. Well worth it. Just got a 424 in the post today so I'm happy as Larry. Read somewhere that you can run carb cleaner through these to clean the generator. I'd look that one up mind you rather than take my word for it.

Are these boots correct size? Or are they cut large or small? Thanks.

How’s the cushioning? Most boots to me feel like I’m running with a block of wood strapped to my feet.

I bought one of these in 2021. They now come with sapphire crystal glass an upgraded Swiss Ronda 715 movement and 10 year battery life and a better 'NITE' logo. A great watch. Quite expensive for what it is but so are all tritium watches with bezels.

Look the dogs BUT iv never had lowa soles last a year . I started buying hanwag trapper top gtx . I loved my lowas but carting heavy packs , the thin sole glued to the midsole went . After a resole again gone , hmmm meindle scarpa every other boot outlasted them . I suppose because they looked so good after a year it bugged me all the more .. its hanwag for me the ball bearing lacing is decades ahead

Coleman 424 doesn't burn very clean using gasoline. You have yellow flame most of the time and the pots will all have a thick coat of carbon, i.e., black!

Alkalyte gasoline is clean an cheaper. It can found in many places.

Ive had AKU pilgrims for the last 3 years, rolled my ankle thanks to a delightful character. Moved to these boots, feel very confident with the support they offer. Aku boots were great, very comfy and lightweight but I've decided ankle support is more important to me than weight.

You really carnt beat Blackhawk packs, I have four and theve all been battered on deployments and still look new, predator, cyclone, 3 day assault pack and a raptor x3 some of these models aren't made anymore which is a shame as they are excellent packs. Also the titan and barrage are worth a mention too.

The blade was copied from a microtech OTF knife. It i made that way to attract people who cannot buy a OTF knife in UK. It is agood design. Far stronger than a OTF. Any fixed blade is. But the steel is not as good as a microtech knife. It is aus8, which is a cheap steel. The sheath kit is a good set up. A light knife for a combat medic but they usually carry, heavy dut scissors a other kit.

You are kidding about other manufacturers!!! Many good stoves for many different scenarios. Great to hear you did a lot of research.. Super unleaded petrol has cleaners in it and it does not clog the generator. And, normal unleaded will clogg the generator after a number of years of heavy use...the generator is cheaper to replace than Coleman fuel.

what's the steel?

Some posties in my office swear by these but wear thru the sole within 2 to 3 months, yes they are resoleable but do that 4 times a year and it all adds up

I have many tops and benchmade knives,but the parry blade is still my favorite.as for the steel it's very durable.those of you that are looking for a knife that will cut down a redwood and then shave a baby's ass, it doesn't exist.i use mine here in the rocky mountain's of Colorado and it's never failed me.

Brilliant review, Mate! I have two of these packs and can also attest to it. Some criticized CBs decision to go with the 500D cordura over the ever popular 1000D, but, as it was explained to me, they did thorough testing to come to their conclusion that the 500 is more than strong enough to endure the rigors of the field, but cuts down on weight considerably. Every ounce matters in the field, so good on Camelbak. Again, fantastic review. Love the British!

much less likely to clog up with coleman full so pay for over priced full that is harder to find and probally still have the same result supper unleaded petrol does ok in it yes just clean and service it when required

Just picked up the plain edge,not a legal carry but it's a complete beast of a knife to be honest,less of an EDC and more of a CQD knife,but I love it.

Please comment on the long term longevity of the compass from your original video post. How long did the back-light work with the battery and did it ever go bad with normal wear?
