That’s a good question for CHP DOT. But If you haven’t been stopped then the best thing to do is get the CA # and move on. Unless you are reporting miles. CA # is required if you are conducting business in California.

@@jlo0125 any commercial vehicle is required to have a DOT number. And follow the steps in my videos if you need to get a Dot and MC and CA number.

Not when I did this test. But I need to get my air breaks so I went to a school paid $780 before the law changed and I had to retake the test again with air brakes. Now you can’t do this without going to school in California and pay at least $5k

That is a fact

Property usually refers to the cargo you are carrying in your vehicle. The question is asking if the cargo you are carrying is it greater or equal to 10,000lbs. Hope that answers your question.

@@RATLLC thanks for answering My truck weights 7,180. All together from previous owner is 18,000 with cargo So this is only asking for the cargo or both cargo and truck ?

@@edileniasantos2094 when you are transporting any cargo then you always have to include the weight with your truck. For example if your truck is 10k and cargo is 8k then total weight that your transporting on the road is 18k.

@@KevinG1994 yes you can have a US DOT without being over 26k lbs Look at some of the Amazon vans they have DOT#.

@@RATLLC Quick question, how does the oil get all the way in the back to the rear bearing? It would seem the shaft blocks the oil from getting there from the front?

Oil bath hubs are open from inside bearings to outside bearings oil is liquid substance it will get anywhere once in motion.

@@RATLLC i just replaced my bearing on my new trailer with velcrom hub and it went out on the second trip again same hub. I assumed it was because oil did not get back there. But also I didn't change the races. My dump trailer is a diamond c with 8k axels and not even 500 miles on it. I'm already tired of these oil bath crap.

@@AA-sq1xz its a common mistake you have to fill them up to appreciate level it’s on the instructions.
