FRANKIE!!! I'm sitting here in my car crying!!! 😭 The depth of emotion, the pain, the sorrow, the grief and the guilt and the love is just so much It's not often that I see many explore the relationship between Firestar and Cinderpelt, especially after she has to come to terms with her injury and disability and how it briefly halts and then redirects her life, and how hard it was for both of them to move past it. I empathize with your description, I recently learned within the last four years of two diagnosis that forced me to face the fact that I am going to have to live with even more complications to my disabilities than previously, and it has been so hard some days when I am in too much pain to work or even enjoy a day off. I hope I can eventually come to terms with it and find peace in the way that Cinderpelt did
thank u for such a lovely comment Q_Q yeah i really wanted to explore that whole contentment VS happiness thing…. cinderpelt isn’t going 2 have the american dream but she can still have a meaningful life and the process of “coming to terms with it” might be forever but that’s ok. i hope u can also find meaning and contentment in ur life and happiness as well :)))
So i mean in no way to bug or upset you or brag. But i got lucky. I near ended up paralyzed from the waist down at the age of 16. But it did cause serious nerve damage. TMI but that affects my love life. I did at 1 point come to terms with it as a teen that i’d likely become paralyzed and numb. That also my love life would be troubled or none exsistant. But i found a way to be fine with all that. Luckly my back surgery went well. But i am in pain every day. In all things i do. Here recently i also broke my left hand & tore my right sholder. My grip strength & lifting power are very weak and i gasp for air cus my lung can’t do so well since i tore that sholder. So. I feel MILDLY disabled. But i know i’ll be fine. And really that people like you have it harder than i ever will. Or so i assume you do.
don’t worry, around this place we don’t judge who’s got it worse. i aspire to get into weightlifting but I can’t stand up for half an hour at an event! such are the nuances of disability. all complaints are welcome here! being a teen and facing such a life altering thing as paralysis or nerve damage is scary, especially if it’s hard or not polite to talk about some of the side effects that are most impactful to you. i was struggling with a lot of issues with my birth control during my teens and having to keep what was happening from my classmates and family out of politeness made me feel really lonely and alienated.
My last reply was a bit unthoughtful. I got rid of it just in case.

it works REALLY well hehe! im feeding them freeze dried crickets because they are a really great treat! they are basically just protein, which is 99% of what cats eat, and really low in fat so you can give them heaps if you’re doing training. they’re really interesting and different for a cat to smell and eat compared to a basic piece of kibble kind of treat, so it’s enrichment for them to get a cool variety of things to eat (especially for indoor cats). and they make a really good treat option for pets who have an allergy to common proteins like chicken, beef or fish and can’t have regular treats! i hope that answered your question :) most kinds of dried feeder insects available as lizard treats are safe to feed cats, but not all cats will be keen!

This is absolutely gorgeous and speaks so so loud. I feel like this gave me a much greater understanding for and appreciation of cinderpelt's story, which i remember thinking was, at times, poorly handled when I walked away from the series ~10 years ago. I'm really glad you picked this back up after more than half a decade and shared it. Thank you, and incredible work!!
wow thanks! her story was definitely poorly handled at times, but I don’t think it would’ve been so bad if she was the only character to go through this “disabling event > medcat” plot. with that said I definitely hated that they gave her a second life because hers sucked soooooo much. that’s truly the worst of it to me. why her and not longtail who had to retire early instead of finding an alternate fulfilling life path, or a kit murdered by brokenstar before starting to live their life, or bluestar who had to give up her kits and the life with the family she wanted in order to save thunderclan? it’s just bad writing even if you forget ableism LOL im really glad this vid felt like it added some depth to her character and story for you. that’s all I want to hear ❤
@@frankiebcatt3661 Yes absolutely... I think cinderpelt in isolation is great and cinderpelt when you consider cinderheart and briarlight and jayfeather is... concerning. I feel like I got very disillusioned when I realized the erins were not putting critical thought into these things (and other important things, like religion/cults) and it just felt so incredibly irresponsible to me. So many of the things that were so powerful about the worldbuilding turned sour. Cinderpelt I think easily becomes a victim of a similar thing. But as young people, Cinderpelt was so impactful because of what we all instilled in her and what she represented to us. Nothing can really take away that feeling that this story/character gave us, even 10 more years of bad writing after it. Apologies for the long run-on reply!
The description actually brought tears to my eyes because of how relatable it was. I myself am disabled and face the constant struggle of having to come to terms with my disabilities while also trying to get those around me to stop feeling negatively about me constantly. Wether it be because they feel guilty about something they had no control over whatsoever or they simply now see me only as my disability and or can’t get past whatever weird internalized ableism they have towards me. And Cinderpelt has always been one of the characters I’ve held dear to my heart, especially around the time I was first diagnosed with my disabilities and was struggling to come to terms with how my life would be now along with the medical trauma I had and would probably again face. So to see her story illustrated in such a real and relatable way rather than the way she is typically portrayed by most, which is simply a weak throw away character whom is disabled was really a nice change to see. So thank you for this wonderful masterpiece!! :] 💜

Beautiful work! You really captured her story. She's such an important character, learning to live with a disability is such a complicated process. I have to learn and relearn how to accept myself. It's hard, at first, to accept your life is forever changed, but you can still be happy. Your friends and chosen family will still be there. Her story is so meaningful and you've really showcased how she feels and how she moves on. I hope nothing but the best for you.
