I have only ever used blades, from high right down to my 3 handicap, i hate big looking clunky irons i play worse with them, people need to focus on their technique rather than there tools

You might have been striping those clubs because the shaft suited your swing? Dunno if you got fitted for your normal clubs but having the right shaft for your swing will make a huge difference in ball striking.

They are not hickory woods ,they are steel shafted persimmon woods .hickory means hickory shafted ,the head is made of persimmon. You're about 60 years out pal

What’s even more remarkable about the huge distance you got is the fact that you’re losing 30 - 50 yards due to cold weather conditions. Just think about a warm summer and hard fairways!

Good going! Your woods are laminated maple with steel shafts, hickory clubs refers to shafts made of hickory wood.

Well done for demonstrating what golf used to be like. However you were using persimmon head woods. The hickory was the shafts with leather grips.

What's the swing speed Dennis?

I like bowed rather then cupped all day… you was hitting it lovely with the over draw. So why don’t you just open the face at address? Keep it simple, just open the face more and do the same swing. 🤷🏼‍♂️👍

Great video, it feels sooo awkward when you make a change to your swing, your practice swings look very natural but sometimes when you hit the shot it looks very contrived, there's always that balance between "grip it and rip it" and "paralysis by analysis". You hit the ball so damn far though, I'm jealous, I'm a straight hitter but short, you're a long hitter but wayward why is it soooo bloody difficult! Never the less I always enjoy your videos..Thanks.
