Really enjoyed this. Have played 3 games in the last month 18,13 and 12 over but yesterday scored 25!!!!! When it's a poor day, there is nothing you can do about it 😢😢😢
If you have handicap 9 you should on average shoot 81 on a par 72 course. For sure you would shoot under your handicap sometimes and over your handicap sometimes, which averages out on 9. So yes, you should be able to be under 80 so now and then as 9 handicapper.
Stephen is a good player and he has a matching attitude for this channel. We love the positive vibes here. Like some of the other golf content channels. I like the idea of you having a squad of guys we can get to know. Keep it coming.
I believe Stephen's driver dysfunction stemmed from his regression to an 'outside-in' swing path, which was also evident in his hybrid strikes. It's amusing how the driver often magnifies our faults, isn't it? I really enjoy watching the chemistry between you two. I wish I had friends like you guys to play with. Looking forward to your next video already!
Stephen, if you are reading this, just know it is coming from someone that has less than two years experience haha! I am just thinking out loud, you are a class player and I have been learning loads from watching you play.
Thanks Max for the comment. I'm always open to constructive criticism as I feel golf is just one continuous learning journey 😅 Had a lesson pre booked for the Monday after we played (Sunday) and you were partially correct in your analysis. Path had slipped too much left, but more over I was leading the club with my hands too much at impact causing the face to be open. A few range sessions, home drills and a couple of games should put me back on track 👍🏾👊🏾
A bit of fun: Stephen's game did the channel name proud today.😉 But he was very close to a single-digit round and even better. Congratulations.👍 Another fun fact: As a family, we enjoyed another round of ‘Bogey Golf’ in front of the TV in the living room, even though our kids let out a pitiful groan here and there at every putt that fell inches short.😉 And it was my 5-year-old daughter who wisely commented that it was always better to give a putt a chance to fall and be 1 foot too long rather than even 1 inch too short. She got this ‘know-it-all wisdom’😁 from me; it's exactly what I always give my kids along the way. And I got it myself from my old golf coach, who taught/improved my golf game 25 years ago and had a number of tips like this in addition to his golf teaching skills (another one that has stayed with me: Never unpack the driver on a par 4 unless you want to attack the green; better to lay up at the distance you prefer). Keep up the good work. It's always a pleasure.🙂
I really enjoyed that. Stephen has such a smooth swing compared to my efforts ….. I think the blood stops flowing to my fingers sometimes when I grip the club on a tee 😂
Great video guys, love watching Stephen’s decision making and refusing to lay up 😅 Struggling with the flu and probably cancelling my weekend round, so this was a nice distraction! All the best guys
As much as I enjoy watching you play Denis, I think having Stephen-focused videos every now and then is a good move for the channel! Love to watch Stephen play
We love watching you hack it around Denis and then seeing the euphoria after hitting a good shot followed by "let's go" 😅 but agree versatility appeals to the masses 👍🏼
Thanks for having me on the channel again Dennis 👊🏾 This one was abit of a roller coaster 😂😅
Anytime brother 🫡
Great to see Steven on the channel!

Happens to us all
Brilliant attitude guys 😂
Thank you!
The pressure got to Stephen being the star of the show! Great video, look forward to more of you both going head to head again!
Thanks! Keep an eye out
Yes, Stephen is back! I’have been looking forward to his return.
🤝
I would love to see Stephen more often on the channel. This is the third time watching this match in under two weeks 😂
My local course too!! Can’t wait to finally play the front 9 now it’s finally open !
Played pretty well considering the recent weather
What a rollercoaster that last hole was! Well played Stephen, cracking effort mate 🤙🤙
did someone say Stephen & Dennis v Luke & Fents 👀
nice
Thank you very much indeed! 🤝
These two! Guaranteed vibes from here to the clubhouse!
Thanks Mark!

Thanks Mike!
It would be difficult (but not impossible) to have a handicap of 9 without ever breaking 80.
You’re right but strong he’s broke 80 a number of times before💪
Enjoyed watching. Stephen, any excuse you can point to for playing not as good as you wanted to play, is a good excuse. 😊
Very true😂
american here, are british greens usually slower? it looks like you have to give a lot to get it there for those 20-30 ft putts.
Majority of courses are still recovering from the winter so courses like this one are extremely bumpy and slow still
Great round gents. Back nine was tremendous 👍🏻
Loving the videos Denis 😁👍🏻
Thank you! He came out firing on the back 9
85 was very respectable in the end. Well done!
Thanks to TH-cam for jamming this comment on before I even had a chance to go full screen 😅 (not having a go at OP, just bad timing)
Thanks Ken
This was amazing!
Thank you for watching!

👍
Man those greens are bumpy. Need a bit of luck even if you put a good stroke on it.
Yeah for real
I agree
Great job love the joking around.
Always good vibes with Stephen
Excellent entertainment. Keep it up.
Thanks, will do!

Bigtime swing envy from me too. Thanks for watching

Thank you!
Stephen played extremely well! Especially given the conditions of the greens they did not look like they were rolling good. Great video!
Couldn't agree more!
Great video, Stephen is a top man, and really enjoyed you giggling at your friend’s poor shots. We all do it.
Glad you enjoyed it
Great to watch thanks for sharing. Better than working for a living lol🎉
Thank you. Unfortunately this isn’t my full time job 😂 if only
Ain't no body laying up Denis 😂😂😂
👀👀😂😂
After dreadful front 9 you played well to get it back perseverance
Well done
Tale of two 9s
Good stuff as always.
Thanks again!
Good vid and round need an 18 hole verses
Thanks mate!
those greens look very slow!
Definitely were. We’ve had awful weather
Great video
Thanks!
Stephen’s irons showed his class. Time for match play with you two?
Yep that’s coming!
Based on his previous games, I think he can break 80! Watching now! 🍿
👀
@@BogeyGolfUK 85 isn’t bad. He should run is back 😎

100%!! There’s only so much of me hacking it around one can take🤣

@@backinthegym7256 spot on with this one. Nothing better than Denis to be through the roof after a well struck shot!
