Come to work with me at Jersey Zoo!
Hi, I’m Stephanie and I work on the field programmes team at Jersey Zoo for Durrell Wildlife Conservation Trust. Come with me to Jersey channel island for the first time in this vlog (as normally I’m working remotely from the UK in Bristol!).
Here, I’ll give you a tour of Jersey Zoo and everything you can expect to see when you visit, with my personal highlights being the fruit bats, flamingos, and a book hut! As a little bonus you can also join me for one of the most beautiful sunsets I’ve ever seen, on one of Jersey island’s beaches.
I’m an Environmental Communicator currently working freelance and for Durrell Wildlife Conservation Trust. I work in social media content creation, writing, videography, events, and presenting to promote the importance of conserving our natural world. Find out more at

I got a Zoology BSc (first) last year and have been stuck for work since. I have a full motorcycle licence (which isn't good enough for most jobs), ride in all weather all year around (and off-road). If I was rich, I'd just volunteer as this sort of work is exactly what I want to do, but paid. I don't want to climb the ladder, I want to help the environment and stay hands on, and not just to enable the building of housing estates. I'm at a loss.. I'm happy in all weathers and seasons and being in the mud too. Also I find a lot of job applications are those no-CV, answer 4 personality questions type of applications, which I hate!
