well it depends how your mind works. Volume is often set and forget, gain gets changed a lot so it's more prominent. the eq is placed as such becasue it is a SPLIT eq with the press being before the gain and the Bass and Treble. visually this is represented in the layout. but there is also the fact that I layout circuits to keep track runs as short as possible and placed according to where they are in the circuit.. there is method in the madness.

Hey man, all are great options, I can only really speak to the peacekeeper. It was designed to allow the user to get a load of different type of tones, from Klon, to tubescreamer to bluesbreaker. The key is the EQ allows you to dial in the sound you want so you’ll be able to get bluesbreaker but laps be able to match it to your amps.

@@tiuditto As a longtime fan of the OCD myself, im certain it can cover that off too. as for keeping the BB.... good plan, have a small studio board too.

The ER-2 was discontinued due to parts availability. the ER-2 block 2 is the redesigned circuit that eliminates those parts.

It’s a three in one pedal. A octave fuzz, our tacit blue and ER-2 in one enclosure…. A modern take on the “Hendrix in a box”

Don't worry, these are being released in small batches of 20... first batch went live today. Once they are gone we will build them and do the same in circa 6 weeks time. Btw, thanks so much for the support on the Electric Lightning, really kind of you..

Obviously they are very different pedals, the EL doesn’t have quite the flexibility to reproduce various different sounds that the low gain peacekeeper can…. But it can do a Lot. My advice is to try one if you can.

It’s running at +\- 15v. Ie it’s giving you that brown sound earlier. Hope you love the sounds.

If you saved 20 quid a month you’d have the money in less than 2 years.

I thought the full tone was tubescreamer based. This is a tube overdrive and boost.

Come on, you know diodes are used for all sorts of reasons don’t you? In this circuit…. We use them as power protection, voltage manipulation, part of the boost circuit to soft clip at the top end…. They are also used as part of the switching circuit….. Anyway, diodes are tools, they are needed for lots of things.

Well that’s like calling any Marshall, Fender etc amps “tube/valve amps”. They all have circuitry. A tube/valve cannot work on its own (try opening up a Friedman IRX). For that reason, this pedal is a tube/valve overdrive.

Hi, firstly We wanted to make sure that we had this part down. Chris has been gigging this around the world for about a year. He’s played on land and sea and traveled by air with his pedalboard having been thrown about all over the place. His pedal has survived this, but just in case We chose a really readily available JJs tube. the ecc83S. And it’s socketed. Hope that puts your mind at rest

I guess a British voice better tone shaping than a tube driver for exemple :p

We have socketed the tube. This wasn’t because we wanted anyone to experiment with tube type, but because that’s sensible engineering when dealing with a Replaceable item. The thing to note is, we bias the tube up on the oscilloscope to get them to sound as we expect and critically as Chris expects. Changing the tube will undo that fine tuning. So the answer is yes, but at your own risk.
