Process will be very similar for the a SQ5 👍
I'm debating whether I should get the 034 springs or H&R Springs. Which one would you recommend?
I use H&R on near every vehicle which comes in for lowering springs. 034 will probably give you the same stance but not sure on the ride quality

That torque line is real power, many other setups will lose torque along the rev range, but with your mapping that is a proper fast road car, lovely.

Do you have torque spec for the different bolts? Bought a set of springs for my car and I’m looking to do it soon, but don’t want anything to come loose
I don't I'm afraid sorry. All the bolts are very hefty bolts so you will be fine tightening them up as tight as you can.

every dealership doesn’t allow wearing watches or any type of jewelry because it can a.) scratch the car b.) is a potential risk of injury for every mechanic

Stock it is low enough, especially with PDCC.
To be honest, for most people it is most likely low enough, but I wanted to reduce the arch gap
I understand you. But my Carrera 4 GTS sits stock at almost the same height as yours. I do have PDCC.@@performance_engineering
I didn't have PDCC on my GTS. If I remember correctly PDCC cars was a little lower.

The H&R lowered it around 25-30mm over a non PDCC GTS. Doesn't sound much but it looked brilliant and the ride was near enough the same as stock.
Brother just drive and enjoy the car. No one in Porsche land really cares all that much about 0-60

Are there any check engine lights or ecu issues with the catless downpipes?
Hi. Yes the EML will come on for cat efficiency when running the decats so would require them to be mapping out from the ecu.
Which h&r are this ? Sport or super sport ?
From memory they was the sports H&R set
So tempting to add this to my almost identical car!

I didn't I'm afraid. I wanted to but had an offer to purchase the car and it went straight away. Was doing low 6s on a 100-200kmh which is around 991.2 Turbo S pace so went well

Recently used your video to do a install on my 2023 a5. Does this affect adaptive cruise control when getting a fresh alignment ??
No I don't believe it should effect your cruise control. Maybe run a diagnostic report to see what faults come up
Could you do this on an older caddy like 2005 ?
You can tune a 2005 Caddy but I don't go back any later than a 2009/10
Did my 2008 Caddy with a stage 1, added 35bhp and extra 70nm of torque, reasonable gains. Feels better, less dead spots.
Amazing video, this covers just how to do it with the least pain possible. One question though, will this work on a A4 without the factory lowering springs? Will it clear far enough when the springs are 25mm longer?
Thanks, hope it helps with your install. What I would recommend is, when you have to compress the spring, try and compress it slightly more to take up that extra 25mm then it should allow enough clearance
what about fuel economy after the tuning is it better or worse?
Typically should see around 3-5mpg improvement when driven economically

They are just normal spring compressor mate, can be bought from most motor factors or ebay, amazon

Looks great! Do you know of any differences between the Eibach and H&R springs? Just got a mk8 and first time lowering and I'm a bit out of my element.
Hi. The main difference with H&R and Eibach I'd personally say is H&R have a better stance/look with the ride height but a bit firmer ride. Eibach are usually softer but often don't lowering the car enough. Hope this helps
What kind of ramp is that?
Ramps called a Scissor lift
Sweet vid man ,good knowledge to have from this. Question- do you know how much mm the springs dropped it by? Got 15-20mm springs but was waiting to get 10mm spacers all round but after this I’m having second thoughts about spacers now 🤔 just don’t want it sinking over the wheels!
Glad you enjoyed it. H&R usually lower it around 25mm. 10mm spacers all round should be ok but you will have to remove the tab on the inner wheel arches so they don't rub, should sit nice and flush with 10mm

Why leave the OEM silencer?
OEM rear silencer helps maintain the refinement with no drone. The main restrictions in the exhaust are pre OEM silencer as well
