I've been waiting for the larger format version of the Neptune 4 Pro, and hoping maybe they'll add WiFi to that as well but probably not. I may just get the existing Neptune 4 Pro. The steel motion control components and Klipper should improve my print quality and also increase speed on the rare times I print PLA instead of TPU. There are a lot of great features for $299.
I was also waiting for the larger one, but then realized that i probably dont print that many parts that would not fit the printvolume of the 4 pro... Im very pleased with the printer, just still have this problem with the Infill (at 3.50 in the video) do you have any Idea what that can cause?
@@Dirt-E-Bikes - I bought the Neptune 4 Pro last night. Hopefully it'll ship soon. I also bought a Linksys AC750 WiFi extender to get the wired LAN on the Neptune communicating on WiFi so I can manage the 3D printer over a wireless LAN connection with Klipper. 3:50 - I was a bit surprised to see the print head dragging on the infill. That shouldn't be possible. Maybe a slicer problem? What slicer were you using? I'll sometimes print 0.1 mm layer height perimeters for a smooth surface finish and print a thicker infill layer every second or third perimeter layer, but PrusaSlicer prints all of the perimeters first and then prints the infill so there is never any infill higher than the nozzle.
@@Dirt-E-Bikes - I also bought the smaller Neptune 4 Pro rather than waiting for a larger format printer because, as you said, my need for large format printing is infrequent and I mostly wanted it to be able to print more items at one time, but then I figured that the larger bed and wider gantry might reduce print quality slightly which wouldn't be worth it. It's also nice to have a smaller printer on my desk.
@@Dirt-E-Bikes - I ordered the Neptune 4 Pro the Friday night before Labor Day, so it hasn't shipped yet. Hopefully it'll ship soon. I look forward to improvements in print quality over my current Sovol SV01 due to Klipper's more precise motion control and extrusion and better part cooling.
Hey mate, my deviation was sometimes also quite large. I have often leveled the bed, first manually, then automatically the mesh above. So long until I was satisfied to some extent. Nevertheless, I still often have a visible deviation of the z offset at the first layer.
Your infill problem may be a levelling issue. In the video, you only show doing the Z offset and then auto levelling. You need to do Z Offset for the middle, then do "Auxiliary Levelling" where you do all 4 corners a few times so they all have the same amount of friction and then do auto levelling to generate a mesh bed to allow for compensation in areas that aren't quite as level as others.
if it were an extrusion issue, then it'd be consistent across the whole bed regardless of position. That wasn't the case, uneven extrusion (one side having what appears to be less squish and the other more) means an uneven bed level.@@TheLuciano1806
do you have the auxiliary fans "full mode" for a printing speed of 250 mm/s? Have you tried to see at which speed they are not needed, or at least in "mute" mode?
Hi Multiberto92, I have done most of the prints so far at 250mm/s with the fentilator set to 80%. I have only made 2 prints with 150mm/s and set the fentilator to 50%. It worked fine so far, but it was only small parts.

@@Liberty4EverYes I thought the same thing. Have you already received the printer? And is everything running as it should?

My Elego Neptune 4 Pro has a bed deviation of about 0.28 mm. Big pieces come out wrong for me. Would you know how to request it?

...i also set the first layer to max. Hight in the slicer, that may help a bit

Thank you GroundPlayz, i will try this tomorrow morning 👍 Im glad for good advice like this
Lol, no. It's an extrusion issue
@@TheLuciano1806 Ok, do you mean too little or too much extrusion?

@@Dirt-E-Bikes thanks for the answer. No review talks about this and it's refreshing to have some feedback on it at last hahaha

Did you use and tighten all 4 (!) screws when attaching the printhead or only the two upper ones?
Thanks for the input, yes i tighten all 4 screws, but i think i only showed 2 screws in the video.
How many db this printer make in silent mod ?
In silent mode its very quiet. But unfortunately i dont have a db-meter
@@Dirt-E-Bikes Thanks ! 😇
@@Cornusse i downloaded a db meter to my phone, it reads 55 to 60 db in silent mode. Not sure how accurate this is ;-)

nice video but the top half of the printer is called the gantry not the portal
Thanks for the info, im a noob to this topic ;-)
This makes me regret spending money on my ender 5 😂
😅
I'm quite happy with it, but as you can see at 3.50 not everything is perfect either
