In your state, you get taxed for talking. ❤❤❤❤🎉🎉🎉 Sucks asss Trump and team !!!!!!!
How do you like the high torque starter, though about purchasing one for our D 17 diesel, just want someone with real experience with one, does it spin the engine faster
It's a night and day difference. I wish all of our diesels had one. It makes them start dam near like a modern diesel. I have one on my pulling tractor with the 426 engine. I have a short of me staring it I will post the link here.

Thanks for the information, greatly appreciated
@RogerKaplon no problem!
My aunt had a 190. She also had a 185 Alice Chandler and then had a 7020 hours Chandler.
I grew up with then as well, she had some good ones for sure too. Thanks for watching and commenting!!!
My aunt had a 190. She also had a 185 Alice Chandler and then had a 7020 hours Chandler.
nice. was trying to find you on the allis forum on fb? and will this adjusting help with high side lever popping out?
@skkrump it can yes. It will tighten the snaps on the clutch. But if it's popping out they are getting wore, if they are wore out to bad it will still pop out of engagement unfortunately.
Yes my clay soil corn field does well, especially in a dry year if it is broken up well in the Spring and then stay off of it as much as possible. If you know someone with a red brick house, well that looks like my soil...
😆 I've got about 5 acres an together of red clay like your talking. I have 2 sections that were rock quarry around the turn of the century, the close you get to the acual quarry the feeder it gets. The rest of the clay ground is the light brown clay, perfect for pottery 😆. That's for watching and commenting Jeff!!
I recognize where you're at in Northern, IL. Been past your place many times. I worked for McCartney's on Gleaners and Allis-Chalmers back in the late 1980's in Rochelle, IL
@MotoKeto if you've been past it here it's not hard to miss 😆 we still use ACM in Durand IL. We've got alot of equipment that came from McCartney's.
I got a taste of that excitement at the plow day this year. It definitely was a handful! Ride’m cowboy!
@@deanmeyer1815 lol alot of people have enjoyed that tractor over the years that's for sure
Will this be similar on a M3 or L3
Yes sir this should get you in the ballpark for every conventional gleaner
@ can’t tell you how helpful this was!
@dodgeramdiesel1734 I'm glad to hear that it helped out!!
Would definitely like to see a video on combine settings. Just bought an L3
Yes sir, this should get you in the ballpark for any conventional Gleaner
Brings back memories from my childhood, had some neighbors that had a Gleaner combine that they used, back in the early 80s
Thankyou for watching and commenting! I'm glad you enjoyed it.
My dad had gleaners for many years C2's and G's,,thru the years he mentioned that the tools needed to work on them were a torch and a big fkn hammer, esp after he got his first JD 7700 turbo and ran that for many trouble free seasons
@@LynnKorte-ve4qf you forgot the all important dictate... Lol ..
He got tired of cutting in his own access doors to fix internal chains, replacing bearings, shafts, gaining access first so to fix and replace them,JD already had asset door panels already cut in and with removal clip panels covering them access holes, even if you had to clean it out after plugging things up
@@LynnKorte-ve4qf you forgot the all important ductape... Lol!
It's supposed to be ductape.
A c2 and a G are an era behind the 7700 is not fair to compare them really. Like saying he upgraded from a 7700 to an r series gleaner... no contest. Ask if the problems you said about the older gleaners were addressed by the time they got to the Ms, Ls, and Fs I'd put my M2 up to a 7700 any day off the week, especially now 45 years later, I still only need a hammer and a torch 😆. O and no proprietary parts on my gleaner either lol.
That old girl still loves to work.
Did you guys buy both? Having a parts tractor would come in handy.
No we didn't buy these. There was no good way to get tien on my trailer was the main problem
Is this relic still around the farn?
No sir lol he sold this one shortly after he got the L2. But the guy that bought it is still running it.
Steady and smooth is always the way to go.
That's for sure, it's better to take your time and get all your grain in the hopper, than to go fast and torn it into a silver seeder 😆
Where's the mice at?
They are hanging dead in the chaffer 😆. We had a pretty good mouse proofing routine in our combines. It involves poison, moth balls, dryer sheets, mint, and aluminum tape 😆.
Little shatter Cain I see in field
I've got 2 fields with troubled spots, giant ragweeds, and of course both of those spots are right by the road where everyone sees it 😆 the fields that are tucked away are clean as can be lol.
Had to put shoup new paddles in and accelerated rollers..go with steel not plastic my opinion
Our paddles are in his shape, our speed problems come on the hills in high bpa corn, not using the whole shoe,
N6 sunny brook is 76 bushel a minute
Changed elevated grain sprocket to run high bushel corn
I've heard of other having problems on the F combines with this!
Sold f2 long shoe 292 to neighbor rebuild
I've got a wd45 with a 292. I plan to get running one of these days lol.
M2,
I made extra adjustments added on sieve
What's bottom sieve set at?
On the l2 they were at about ⅜ because the corn was 13% and I couldn't add much air without blowing seed out of the back especially on the hills. But I usually run around ⅝ in 18٪. As far as the chaffer I run it open as far as I can, just so the full cobs can't get caught in it.
Put different bars in from Indiana made a diff
O man, do they ever. I have Timpe in my M2, and in soybeans, I can cut circles around this L2. I also have homemade filler plates in my cylinder, I get almost 100% full cobs coming off the shoe and I'm able to push more corn through my M2 as well. But not like in soybeans I make this l2 look like a John deere out there 😂
How keep the weeds out of it being organic
Pre emergent pass before planting and a 8 row cultivator and a time weeder.
I have a pretty vigorous cultivation routine. th-cam.com/video/VusS4lDXlxM/w-d-xo.html Here's a link to a video from this summer if your interested.
Hey Tim! Glad the ol L2 is working out well for your brother. Your load out system seems to work well! The landing gear on that auger is weird though. I look at a lot of augers and wonder what on earth the engineers who designed them are smoking. They work, but they put a lot of force against a bunch of cheap thin tubing. Glad you found a job for the "turd" gas 190 LOL. Sounds like she definitely has some exhaust leaks. Thanks for sharing, Tim! Be safe out there, I hope the rest of your harvest is good!
Thankyou Evan! I couldn't agree more about the augers, every time we drive this one I feel like its going to fold in half lol I bet it flexes 2 feet or more at the end just creeping down the road with it lol. The old gas 190 is at least reliable 😆 it's done everything we've asked of it so far..... dad's xt just would do it better 😆 🤣 😂. We won't be back in the fields for at least a week at this point we've got over 2 inches of rain in the past few days, and things don't dry out this time of year. At this point I might be waiting for it to freeze before I get back after it. Thanks for watching and commenting my friend!
Where does your corn go?
The organic corn goes to super soy in broadhead WI.
I will be looking forward to the setup you do. Thank you for the videos
Your welcome thankyou for watching.
@gmr61 it's been steady raining here, and I haven't got out to get the setup video done, but it's still coming.
You know that in theory your brothers combine is supposed to be superior to Glenn in every way and any crop but that doesn’t appear to be the case lol
😆 is getting there. He's got a couple upgrades to go yet. But it's not a bad ride 😆
Did u take ur tractor there to pull
O ya 😆
Why do you have to adjust the pump
Think of it like adjusting a distributer. Ya turn it to get the correct dwell, you can also advance or retard the timing here. You have to fine tune it to get the right timing basically.
U GOT ALOT OF JUNK IN ONE BUILDING
@garyelvers8417 I feel bad for people like you. Do you not get enough attention at home? Do you need a friend? I just don't see what you get out of getting on here being a troll 😆, you got a good laugh out of me of that's what you were going for. As far as I'm concerned none of the old iron is junk, don't matter what color it was. It's all part of American history, and as a farmer your and my history. Idk I grew up around orange tractors and that's what I like I so farm with all this "junk" too. 50 years later it must have really been crap when they were new 😆 🤣 😂. Thanks for watching and commenting, it really helps the algorithm for the video!!!!
So, what we have here is a *ucktard! Probably the best thing about him is still running down his mamas leg.
HOW MANY JUMP OUT OF GEAR ALL MOF THEM LOL
@garyelvers8417 none of then pop out of gear. One of the ca did when we got it but I fixed it. Real simple fix of you have half a brain. It's also easy to not grind then into gear so you don't wear them out. Many of these were bought new by grandpa or dad and have never had any issues as no one grind into gear.
Either way, when it close to zero, it’s time to refuel. 😁
😆 that was about the last pass that night. So I knew I had enough to finish and get to the barrel, at least 😆.
That was a great day. That 190 was a handful on that hill. Thanks for the ride. Have you been able to work on that tranny swap? I’m looking forward to next year already. Do you plan to do more sub spoiler work there? I would imagine if it does dry out over there, that ground would be like bustin’ bricks.
Yes and no on the tranny swap. I've got a hand clutch rebuilt in preparation is all I've got done this summer 😆. But it's on the chopping block to be ready for ya next spring 😆. I plan to do some subsoiling but I'm going to hook it to the 7045 at least this fall. It's been dry as can be here, I saw a 400hp jd riding wheelies on the field the other day trying to pull a chissle, I saw yesterday he didn't make it very far only about 2 passes 🤦♂️ the ground is like rock around here.
You got a good collection there. The many many MANY hours I spent on the seat of a WD with that two row cultivator. Yep, that seat and me could tell the time by the sun within 10 minutes. Thanks for the memories. The list we had, WC, WD, D17, 185, 210, 7080. Ran a 190 and 190XT, 180 and 8050. With a friend's farm.
Thankyou Don!!! It sounds life you've ran at least one tractor from every series allis built. All I'm missing is the 8000 series myself lol. I love hearing old farm stories like that keep them coming my friend!!!
Great herd of ACs Shed looks great I think you should take Frankie tricker treating LOL Frankies the bomb man Cant wait for more Gleaner harvest!!!!! i always watch !!!
Franky decided to blow out a rear tire. My brother was using it to haul wagons and must have caught a corn stalk just right. He needed new shoes anyways I suppose. That's for watching and commenting Gary!!
@@TimothyFluegel that would be a great treat for Frankie
Well Tim it looks like u have a job. Ahead of u lol
It wasn't too bad lol. Thanks for watching dale!!!
@ well I. Always watch ur vedeos and yeah they’re great. So how r u and ur family doing my are doing fine 😝 love
@daleschroeder8661 that's good to hear dale. We've all been doing good it's been a pretty good year so far.
@ well that’s good because I was in the hospital five days with Covid and that wasn’t good but I’m glad I did cause I had mild heart attack. So yeah I’m good now lol
@daleschroeder8661 that's scary Dale. Was this your 1st time getting it?
Wow, Tim, that's quite a collection you got stuffed in there! Hopefully the old Oliver 99 doesn't feel too out of place LOL. Glad you have a good shed to keep them in and that it freed up a lot of space for your heavy working tractors. I wonder if you can help solve an Allis related argument for me. My uncle Tom has my grandpa's WD45. Many years ago, they hurt the original engine in the 45 and Grandpa bought an engine from a newer tractor to put in it. Tom swears it has a D14 engine in it, I told him he's full of crap and that it's probably from a D17. I didn't think a D14 block would bolt up in a WD45. I figured you're way more knowledgeable than I am and I thought I would ask. Thank you for your videos, Tim! I hope you have a safe and bountiful harvest! Have a good one, friend!
Thanks Evan!!! So one thing a d14 has about 22hp at the pto. It would be the most underpowered wd45 you ever ran. A 226 with a dead cylinder would prolly have more power 😆. As far as if the engine will fit, the shirt answer is yes, but there would be some fabrication for the flywheel to work. Back in the day it would have been, easier, and way more economic to use a 226. And the 14 engine wouldn't fill the engine bay right it's smaller and you'd be able to look at it and say... well that's not right 😆.
@@TimothyFluegel Thanks, Tim! That's pretty much what I've been trying to tell him, but he won't believe me. I'm pretty sure it's a later D17 engine, it has the bigger external oil lines for the full flow oil filter. I didn't think the smaller engine would fit up to the bell housing without an adapter, and I guarantee Grandpa couldn't have made an adapter that could make it work right. Thanks for the info! I hope you have a good one, Tim!
@evanaustin2636 your welcome Evan. I can't imagine any one in their right mind wood want a 22hp w series tractor lol that's why allis only made the rc for a short time. They kinda sucked 😆 even in the 40s they didn't have enough ponies under the hood. Then fit a guy to go from a 45hp work horse in those days to half that I think he would be pretty upset lol.
Ahh, I finally got to see my favorite Tim tractor..the CA with the cultivator/side dresser. It's been quite a while since I've seen this beauty, and hope to see it back in action next summer. Thanks very much for the parade of tractors.
So I had a whole clip of running that ca, I thought, what I ended up with was a clip of my phone going into my pocket and the noise is the engine running 😆. O was thinking about you too wanted to make sure I had a good clip of it staring and running. But you got to see the other one is almost as cool 😆. Thanks for watching and commenting Robert!
I have a wd45 deisel I bought this summer hasn't ran in awhile .I'm a little nervous about making sure the injection pump is functioning properly
It's best to just take the pump off and have it gone through. If you break the shaft your basically looking for a whole pump for parts or just a replacement. I can't say that I blame you for being nervous lol

Can you recommend a pump shop I'm located in west central Illinois
@christopherhall6233 yes I can. Dairyland Diesel in Argyle WI. They will ship anywhere in the USA. They do great work and it's 2 Mennonite guys in a small shop so they don't have much over head and don't charge as much. I have parts pumps if they need anything they will let you know and, get ahold of me.
@TimothyFluegel thanks Tim I appreciate your info I'm familiar with the roasa master on the 2800 but not this thing
It’s always nice to have a couple of sheds on your farm yard to store your equipment, thanks for the video Tim 🚜🌾🌾🌾👍
You got that right Matt, thanks for watching and commenting my friend.
good video
Thankyou Peter!
Awesome buddy you’re starting to get quite the working fleet there lol
Thanks Craig. Idk if we can can it a collection note though more like an addiction or problem 😆
Why I’m not sure what you’re talking about I don’t see it as a problem
@@craigrasnic4178 😆 well that makes me feel better
Something weird is going on again with the notification of your videos because I watched this video and now I just noticed that you had a pulling video last week and I didn’t receive a notification for it or even know that it had been posted until this morning it showed up as I was scrolling through TH-cam. This has happened a couple different times now so I guess I’m gonna have to start checking your channel to make sure I haven’t missed anything lol
