I reckon that van belonged to the guys that helped you. Probably their delivery van. That’s why they were there watching at felt obliged to help. Otherwise they probably wouldn’t have helped at all.

Guy in the van is an idiot but the way you rode around ignoring stop signs, red lights and generally very poor riding is crazy.

We used to ride in the wee small hours of the morning downtown in the financial district. Back when nobody lived there, it was just office buildings and on Sunday morning's it was deserted and all ours. Now, alot of those buildings are residential and way more people on weekends so it's not the same.

Gas prices in NYC are about the same as NJ now. I remember they used to be ALOT higher than here. I can remember hundreds of NYC taxis lining up at gas stations in Jersey City to buy gas until the taxi commission put a stop to it. Even with the toll, it was still cheaper than buying in Manhattan.

I'm always forgetting to unlock my forks also.😅 probably not on purpose blocking you in, but just double parked in a bad spot for you at that moment. The car behind you is blocked in also.

Fellow Harley Rider here from up in Canada just wanted to say that I have been enjoying watching you ride around New York and look forward to getting out there with my bike one of these days although I probably won't be as daring as you with the red lights. On the up note I am taking my bike down to Florida next week so at least I have some new stomping ground to ride around. Stay safe out there.

I'd look at the Dyna line as well, its a bit lighter than the Softail and might be easier to get around with it in that traffic. I had a Street Bob back in 2006, loved that thing, and if I had the money would buy another in a heartbeat. Mini Apes and forward controls were awesome. Test drive them all if you can, and see what feels better.

Ahhh, moments in life when we need to forget where we're at...i.e. NY. If that van owner was on a delivery or doing something quick, then ok. But long term, NOT cool. Props to those guys helping u out. Ride safe!

The only Harley I would buy is the Pan-American air-cooled Harley's have a cooling problem the rear cylinder only gets the heat off the front cylinder
