My guess as to why the lines are there for the Febreze bottle is because it's probably like the same bottle of Gain (it looks like it anyway, I'm more of a Gain powder person)

This brand is popular worldwide. Here in the Philippines Ariel is still a popular detergent brand despite the expensive price compared to other brands. Every time I watch TV they always play their ads during commercial breaks. Regine Velasquez (she was a popular singer) is the current endorser of Ariel in the Philippines. Unfortunately Ariel Pods is still not available in the Philippines officially (in the Philippines Ariel Pods are only available unofficially on online stores and membership stores). I wish in 2025 P&G Philippines would start selling their pod version of Ariel (including its sister brand Tide). Other Asian countries like Japan have been selling Ariel Pods since the early 2010s.

Honestly this was reallllllly surprising, thanks for taking your time to make this video! I kinda wish Tide Original (orange bottle) was in the mix too.

I have a son who’s constantly getting mud, grass stains, ketchup stains and all kinds of random things on his clothing. I pretreat his clothes with good old original dawn dish soap and scrub it in with an old tooth brush then throw his clothes in the washer and soak them at least 30 minutes before putting my machine on the wash cycle. 90 percent of the stains are gone before I even throw them in the washer then I throw in a gain pod and put it on an extra rinse and call it a day. On grease/oil stains I use carbona grease stain remover. It always works perfect with some dawn dish soap. On dried on blood stains I use 30 vol crème color developer from Sally’s beauty supply which works like a charm but it can only be used on whites if it’s not whites I use dawn and regular peroxide. I never count on detergent to do the job.

Try repeating the exact same test with OxiClean. One thing you showed is that something with a red dye in it is the worst and then grape juice. I think borax seems the best. Another test I need to know is if you buy a shirt that has a high quality print on it, what can whiten the white without harming the print.

I hate to break it to you, but just a few years ago, this stuff was probably 3x as strong. I used it for well over a decade, for heavily soiled laundry and white clothes. P&G just recently phased out Phosphates in their Latin America detergents, but the difference in power is so remarkable, it’s insane. It’s like the difference between using high octane gasoline vs just random cooking oil in your car. The phosphates suspend and handle hard water minerals, they grab onto stains and dirt like a magnet (holding them in suspension) and they act as a process aid, working with enzymes and other surfactants for soil removal. Back in 1993, Detergent Manufacturers mostly phased out phosphates in the United States on a voluntary level, but overseas and in and Latin America, they remained for quite some time. To make a very long story short, I still have a huge stash of the old stuff. This, and VIVA, and Ace (Tide branded for Latin America) would pull out anything, and I mean anything you put against it. I completely cleaned oil spots, on my garage floor just leaving a small mixture of Ariel overnight. Just like that. I still think the phosphate free Ariel (both USA & Mexico) is good, but I’m not going to lie and say it’s the same. It’s only halfway as good as it used to be. Tide with Bleach Alternative Powder (or whatever they are calling it now), is probably the best detergent you can buy on most store shelves. Persil Liquid (USA) is very good, if your machine can handle the insane suds. The German Liquid Persil, used to be recommended by Miele exclusively for use in their machines, which require low suds. ❤ Your videos, from a fellow Laundry Fan. Keep it up man!

I use a little foca just so it softens the water. But I use tide as the primary detergent and they work well in tandem

I've used nothing but Roma for years. I think you made a mistake with the stained towels by washing them in warm or hot water. I use NOTHING but stone-COLD water. Warm water tends to set stains. You can't "melt" a stain, even a greasy one, out of a fabric. The mustard stain is one which is a particularly tough nut to crack, so when faced with that I'll add about 1/4 cup of Pine Sol or Lysol liquid general-purpose cleaner. If it is a white load, I'll also use 1/4 c. of bleach. BTW I use a front-loading HE washer, which with a full load, only uses 8 gallons of water, but it self-adjusts the water volume based on the load calculation the machine does before it fills.

Love your videos. I tried the liquid detergent 123 and really liked it. Not exact scent of ariel but a pleasant one it's a massive bottle 157.24 oz and the label says it washes 1240 pieces of clothes. It was a little pricey around 15 bucks but big bottle and wanted to try. Much thicker consistency. Do you have a tiktok?

Surfactants do most of the work anyway. Enzymes only enhance the cleaning. Honestly, you could buy stain pretreaters or laundry sanitizer alongside the lower-priced detergents and still get great results! I use a big bottle of Tide Simply and I am in love with it. It's very thick and high-sudsing. The bottle is 168 fl oz, and only $14!

Tide simply refreshing breeze smells better than the original red bottle Tide but has less cleaning power. I use it together with a scoop of Oxiclean. I always soak my laundry. You should too if you have the time. My washing machine also has an extended soak function. Tide simply may not be the best detergent, but they score 10/10 in the scent category.

I will straight up watch a hour video of u talking about laundry products lol laundry products was always something I liked just cause there is so many different brands and scents and I just like trying them all out looking for what gets my clothes the cleanest at the best value and what scent combinations smell the best 😊

Love your video i love doing laundry and i like my laundry to smell clean and look clean i currently use Arm and Hammer with oxiclean but i also use purex mountain breeze and great value brand laundry detergent medium quality.
