Real estate outlook in 2023... Minnesota
Visited Minneapolis and everyone cant drive, mobody know how to merge from the offramps, nobody knows how to merge over, what the fuck is a stop sign in Minneapolis!
Third world country, high crime, high taxes, too cold or too hot. Very high rent and many homeless camps!!!
Are we not even gonna talk about the discrepancy in snow care?
And tampons in the men’s bathroom s
Minnesota is the land of a milliin mosquitoes..first hand experience...dont go there other than to snowmobile
Haha! Who travels to MN to go snowboarding?
@MN_Best_Real_Estate lol true..typo
Eww gross this video looks like some child trying to ask for a date if you aren’t a real man on the inside don’t try to be on one the out side
I dont blame you for not giving strangers directions to your house, lol. Thats universally a bad idea
Minneapolis forever!!!
It's November 2024 when I'm watching this, and the election has happened and I was watching this for options just in case we need to move, and Minnesota seems to be a great place!
Lived in Minneapolis for 28 years and retired to St Paul for the past 2. Let's face it, St Paul is a Minneapolis neighborhood. Let's combine the two and eliminate government redundancy.
That scared me
Ok no then😂 I am weak at winter
Passive aggressive, common swedish behaviour 😂👍🏻
You forgot to mention the lynx team
I love there very beautiful BUT got the f*n Brutal fall & winter
Minnesota is very special and rural
Boring vs even more boring
Sounds like a you problem.
It definitely is, there's a billion things to do in St. Paul/Mpls in the summer.@@Random-ne3ed
Wondering What is your thoughts on distinctive design build Llc. Would you Recommend them
Shoot me an email and let’s chat. Joe@GreyDuckProperties.com
Is it similar to Raleigh/Durham?
As european who watching news i missed some important information. Is it red or blue state and how about gun laws?
Any builders building small homes for about $150k?
Nope! Builders simply can’t build that cheap due to all the code and regulations in place. Unless your talking about build cost and buying land separately
As a Minnesotan I would move somewhere up north far away from the Twin Cities!
What natural herbs/remedies do you suggest for mosquitoes?
Lemon eucalyptus is great! Lemongrass oil, clove oil, peppermint oil, and cinnamon oil are all great. Mix them all in a little spray bottle and you will be set!
Dont do it move anywhere but Mn the taxes are high and the weather us terrible. Im headed out this week wont miss it.
Folks here in western MN say we wish the SD border stretched to the east another 75 miles!
North Oaks ??? Some hidden ones there🎉
Ive lived in Minnesota for 60 years. I have 5. More years to retirement. Walz has made Minnesota a high coast place to live since i like the cold im looking real hard at moving to South Dakota in retirement
Looks nice but i don't know how to drive in snow lol
I'm mostly from MN. LIve in Green Bay. GRB is the city most like MN. Low rents/home prices, TONS of higher paying jobs, good schools, no traffic, lowest crime in the US. GRB may have a better ratio of good jobs to housing costs, vs MN. GRB is actually a bit south of the Twin Cities, and has better winter weather: Less cold, less snow, and more sunny days. Minnesota is the best state, and their Lake Country is amazing. Green Bay may be a good choice, so include it when looking at Minnesota. It is only about a 4 hour drive from the Twin Cities and Duluth. Use your Free Will to LOVE!...it will help more than you know
As a Saint-Paulite, I’ve never had a problem with Minneapolis. I think it’s one of the nicest suburbs we have! (Pierre Parent would agree!)
Thank you for the helpful information. I just wanted to know how's the school are for children with autism? My wife and I are wanting to move by next year but we don't know how our son will do in schools?
My wife and I plan on moving there from West St Paul in the near future. Thanks for the great info! You've definitely helped us solidify our decision. 😁
Lol
I grew up on northern Mn an tried out the cites for 7 years
Hallow.im Tanzanian,i have lost my friends in st paul, pls,i want to finding them
Don’t move here until the Demsget voted out and crime under control, 6 dead over the last weekend, make sure you have a CC ,they will car jack you in broad daylight in a suburb ,and the police do nothing .woke prosecutors set them free. GF riot’s destroyed our cities.
Love them both! Love the quieter more historic side of St. Paul and also enjoy the vibrancy of MPLS.
*All of these last sold in 2022. Coincidence? (Or were a bunch of MN pro athletes traded that year?)*
The consensus in Minnesota seems to be that Minneapolis has gotten really bad (crime) since the GF protests/riots. Everywhere other than the Twin Cities can be good, if you like the "Minnesota Nice" vibe, and don't mind six months of winter that can include long stretches of sub-zero temperatures. It's a place you should definitely visit during the winter, if you are considering moving here. The summers are opposite of the winters, and most people find the winters here very bleak.
I live on a farm. I love going to the twin cities now and then but when I'm there I feel so lucky that I don't have to deal with traffic. Although I have to drive 20 mi to get to a supermarket it's still easier than dealing with bumper to bumper traffic. MSP and St Cloud are the last two places I'd want to live in MN
WI is just nicer. People are nicer and you're not taxed into oblivion. In MN, I had coworkers tell me not to work overtime because after taxes it's so bad it's not even worth working. They were right. A second job or part time work would pay more. Plus they're trying to propose a 14% tax on electronics despite being in a multi year multi billion dollar surplus. This year I had 4 people try to break into my home and neighbors where I've never had anything like that in my entire life. My catalytic converter was stolen right in front of cameras at my gym even after the vin law (that did nothing) and the police didn't do anything. Minnesota is awful now.
@@Day100 I live in a small town in MN, and I also had my cat stolen. I've met a lot of great people in MN, and I don't feel unsafe in my small town, so it's not all bad. Do you live in the Cities?
Lol, really doubling down on the grey duck thing 😂
As a Minnesotan can confirm 1 2 3 but 4 ehh not so sure 5 is true 6 yes mosquitoes are gonna stick the heck out of you😭 7 yes i played this in myelementary a 8 the rent and food is not that good and gas prices are like 2-3-4 dollars 9 YES TRAFFIC IS SO ANNOYING IN WINTER 10 yes and no we are 75 and 25 we will give you stuff but not in our house
If you like high taxes including retirement taxes, cold weather, High crime, Passive aggressive, and Mosquitos its a great place for you. I have to admit I love the summers here (June, July, Aug) great fishing , lots of trees, and lakes. Maybe when I retire I will just visit in the summer
I think we're about the 5th or 6th highest taxed state and our governor is trying to turn us into CA2. But I love Minnesota, especially in the summer. If you like parks, hiking, canoeing or kayaking, camping, scenic drives... it's an amazing state. I can do without the winters and will probably be a snowbird eventually.
WHAT ABOUT THE MOSQUITO PROBLEM
LOL!!! That is a MN thing, "state bird" and all ya know!
All I care about is safety so which is safer? As if I don't know.
Should I rent a car? Attending the Lions/Vikings game Oct 20th.
My wife got a job in Bloomington. Thinking about Eagan as a possibility
You'll love it! Joe@GreyDuckProperties.com if you want to talk further about it
@@MN_Best_Real_Estate Well were just gonna be renting an apartment. If you have any recommendations that'd be cool. But I understand your time is valuable and real estate agents don't usually help with apartments.
@@Zak_How I would just suggest northern Eagan. It’s the most desirable in my opinion. But yeah, we don’t have access to anything more than you do for rentals. Zillow is the best option. But, if you can afford rent, you can afford to buy. Just sayin
@@MN_Best_Real_Estate Is there a specific road that is like the dividing line between North and South Eagan? We're not completely against buying we just didn't think we would qualify for a loan. Sitting here talking with my wife. Maybe we will be in contact with you in the short to medium future. We wanna get settled and get a feel for the area. We're in Florida right now and making the move in a couple weeks. Never even been to Minnesota haha.
Looking to move to Minnesota, and wanting to know what's the best city to raise a family, I have an 8 year old daughter and would like her to go to the best public school possible and to move into a really nice neighborhood. If someone could let me know, please comment and give me some ideas. Thanks!!
Eagan is nice and has great schools.
Only thing to know...Don't move to MN. Its awful.
WRONG
why
You forgot the Nordic Bundt cakes an pans! There’s do much here! I love Minnesota
Minneapolis 💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕
Traffic and parking opportunities alone, make St.Paul the winner..
Grew up in the Mpls side of town. Now live in St. Paul side of town. I LOVE St. Paul so so much more than Mpls. The restaurants, the neighborhoods, you just can't beat the older homes in St. Paul.
