soon as I saw that enrichment amount I was screaming that it's the injector. Shortly after I bought mine I had my #4 go bad. Interestingly it was the only one that was sitting at roughly +4. so Ista was not calling for a replacement but it was my issue.

The newer m57 doesent drop the swirl flaps anymore. The updated design of m57tü2 only leak oil as you can see

Judt lubricate the plastic pins with wd40 before removing them with the fork...they won't break down

I think the fuel line didnt prime after the fuelfilter change. I believe it was to press start button, wait, turn off, and do that 10-20 times to fill the fuel filter and the fuel line.

I would be doing a front&rear diff. well all the oil changes etc.

I've been in trucking and logistics for a very long time and I always treat my fuel. If you can get it, get some Hot Shots Secret Stiction Eliminator for the oil and EDT ( Every Day Treatment ) for the fuel. The fuel treatment will clean the system front to back, and the Stiction Eliminator will clean out the carbon in the engine and unstick the piston rings. The product was originally formulated for Ford Powerstrokes to deal with the HEUI injector mechanisms sticking because of carbon contamination ( in essence, the injector actuator where the oil goes in was having a heart attack ). Their products do work.

When a shop doesn't want to touch something that person will just throw out an overwhelming quote to get you to leave. It doesn't mean that person is stupid. I believe the shop knew and for what ever reason just did not want to touch it.

Do you know if ill have a problem using an N63 trans on my m57 X5? They sell an adapter plate but I'm looking to do the swap with cantcu controller but not sure if ill be able to use the tcu in the trans because its meant for a gasoline car and the im not sure gasoline torque converter will work in the diesel

Thnk you paid to much I paid 1500 for my 2011 x5 it had 350km on it when I got it drove it home and just picked up anther one 2011 with 200km drove it home and passed safety with nothing go it for 1000 drove it 2hrs home one was turned one was not

M57 engine will never die. Arguably the most robust bmw engine ever. If it wasn't for the plastic timing chain guiderails there would be no contest between it and the m50 for durability.

don't have to worry about XHP, manual 6 speed. 335IS clutch. .. need to toss the ECS poly bushing though; worst purchase ever NVH is insane. and yes, most of the cooling for induction air in a boosted setup is the intercooler, so dual cone under the hood sucking "hot air" means nothing if you have a good IC, like the 5 or 7 inch . mine came with aftermarket IC, and active autowerks charge pipe.. ( i really want to swap this out, fitment sucks, and it's rubbing my power steering reservoir) any input on the turner hot side intake kit that moves it to passenger side? also looking at PURE 600's but it seems they max out around 450 pump gas. which is more then enough i suppose.

So this bleeding process is flowing coolant from engine radiator to the turbo reservoir? Asking bcuz my bmw m6 has no coolant in the turbo reservoir.
