Congratulations brother it’s always good to see something come together. Hopefully there’s no hiccups and everything goes smoothly and if anything before you get it on the road you can refine anything that you do not like.
You should remember that your "compressed air" WILL build pressure again after you've finished letting it all out. There's still liquid "compressed air" in there that will boil off when you give it more space to expand in to. The higher your shop ambient temp them more pressure will build. This is why we vacuum it into a high pressure tank at least three times when doing it the hard way.
I've learned a lesson to say the least, we'll consider this a PSA on the dangers of "compressed air" int he system. good thing it was ONLY "compressed air". 🧐
Don’t forget bro. to wrap that down-pipe and turbo for heat management also try to asure there is enough clearance for engine movement to avoid metal to metal friction. Love the details you mentioned while installing 👍🏻
I won't forget! it's thrown in for mock up, I'm making small adjustments now to account for the engine torquing. My only concern now is how close the coolant lines are around the charge pipe.
aluminum foil inside the V-band clamp, fold it so it's semi thick and compressible, tighten V-band clamp.. i only know of this cause of seeing it done by someone to pass state inspection. it worked, how long it will i have no idea.. but it worked. good luck with your 1 series fun car.. i get to take my 335 i E90 to a collision repair facility cause i got rear ended, and it seems the rear bumper metal and bolt on area for support is tweaked. cause the plastic bumper cover isn't quite sitting right.. thought they took out my telematics unit cause my phone stopped working, but after a few unplugs of the MOST and reseating the DSP amp connector for power and speakers all that stuff came back miraculously, so that saved them a few grand in repairs..
good fix on the amp! I'd mention it to insurance still so they can make note of it. my disly was hit and run so I know the headaches involved. never knew aluminum foil helped to seal leaks, such a good idea! I'll try it!!
Awesome content bro🙏🏾please continue posting ! Also, im tackling some index 12s, eldors and Bosch for ignition and spark this weekend for the 335xi 🙏🏾. Maintenance before mods guys ‼️
it's a good kit! I would recommend using a light skim of copper RTV on the vband regardless if they sit flat or not. It would be awful to go back in after finding a leak.
You should really Opt for B58 conversion kit... those PR coils are junk I've ran into alot issues with it and just said fk it and jumped to B58 coils setup with using 97506 plugs. Car ran flawless at 700+ whp!
That is very cool. The way this was put together was done differently than I’ve ever seen. I’ve seen every component but not all added this way. Very cool. I have a question. What made you decide to use the 8hp45 instead of the 8hp70 considering the power you are putting down? Either way I’m sure it will be alright.
Thanks!! I knew that I wanted a lot of OEM items incorporated like the 335d coolant tank and wanted to make them work, I believe the result is both unique and looks great! To be honest, I've had the 8hp45 sitting here (RWD) for two years now, I basically bought the car JUST to use the transmission. The 8hp70 would be a good choice but here in Canada the RWD variant are few and far between. Sourcing the adapter plate and xDrive to RWD conversion adapter would throw the budget out the window. IF for some reason I have an issue, I'll be looking into an 8hp70 if I start requiring one. Our e92 has been running 28psi on a Precision 6466 for a couple years now with ZERO (knock on wood) issues. He hasn't dig raced but from a roll, hammers it more than a lot of people. It's been holding up flawlessly. I do plan to limit the torque to around 600ftlb to keep both the engine and transmission happy and together.
@@tony.nextlevelridesawesome. Now I get it. Honestly, I am definitely a fan of RWD recently as compared to AWD. Extremely more cost and time effective in the long run. Good luck I’ll be watching
yup! while they're not "needed", I do plan to push a fair bit of boost through this motor and don't want the valve cover lifting. you don't need to take them very deep, just a few turns is all that's needed.
You guys are awesome I love watching your content 🎉🎉🎉🎉BIMMER WORLD only world I know I'm getting ready in Dec to upgrade to 335i I have a 328i n51 😂chime came in 😂 but I've learned soooo much in 4months it's crazy 🤪 im going for 550600ish hp nothing more then that # forged internals on the n54 bad ass 😂chime but yeah Pease keep your channel alive jeep in mind there's always new inquiries on people like myself who just got into this your never to old
this channel deserves more attention 💯
I really appreciate the kind words! This made my day!!
Talk about a ton of work. Can’t wait to hear it run !
You and me both! I'd be lying if I said my nerves aren't rattling away.
I have the same kit. I welded pads on the waste gate inself to take of the gap.
Currently swapping an 8hp45 into my 335i xdrive. Thank you for the content on this stuff!
No problem! glad you're enjoying them!

Here's hoping! I went over almost everything with a fine-toothed comb!

My new favorite channel. Very detailed and informative.
I'll never get sick of comments like this! thanks!!
This is awesome, keep up the content for us N54 lovers!
will do!! 💪
Love your build. It’ll all be worth it in the end. Plus building memories with the boy is experience that lasts a lifetime.
ain't that the truth!
Nice work guys 👍
Thanks!!
Keep up the good work Anthony
will do!!
Cool project! Nice work guys🍻
thanks!!

Can you explain more how you made that brake booster line?
it's just a factory piece off the N55 engine. replaces the N54 one.
is that the jackspania manifold? what charge pipe do you use with that?
no clue! pretty sure it's BMP.

good luck! hope it went well!!
Bought 335i m sport with a on3 61mm kit putting a new motor in it soon awesome to see these videos as I’m doing the same thing rn
it's a good kit! I would recommend using a light skim of copper RTV on the vband regardless if they sit flat or not. It would be awful to go back in after finding a leak.
i couldn't read the brand on the steering reservoir, but what brand is it and how are you liking it?
it's a URO parts, working great!
Nice job bro 👌🔥💪💪💪
Thanks! 🔥
whay you dont wrap the exhaust pipe ?to make less hit
I will once it gets modified, then I will install permanently.
good info, great job and video
thanks!! appreciate the kind words!!
Stock rear end/diff?? Are you going to put lsd or m3 diff?
hopefully a Wavetrac like in my old e90, I'll need it.
I have the same turbo kit going into my 135i as well my question is how’s the downpipe fitment on the 135i ?
fits better than on the xDrive e90 we last did. not sure it bolts up to the rest of the exhaust yet.
Hey brother, what forward facing intake manifold is that?
It's the forward facing manifold from BMP. I believe the FF charge pipe is from DocRace which would explain some of the fitment issues.

dang! well, ironically, I've had nothing but good luck with them in the past. however, if I run into ANY issues. I will be doing just that!
Yeah on my 135i everything fits tight

Very cool. Congrats. But isn't there a law stating those car can't be driven with 2 pedals ?! next video series idea, 6mt+twindisk ;)
if there's a law, my defense is that my 7 other vehicles all have THREE pedals. Does that count? 🤔
Did you plug the head ports by chance?
yup! while they're not "needed", I do plan to push a fair bit of boost through this motor and don't want the valve cover lifting.
you don't need to take them very deep, just a few turns is all that's needed.
Would the 335i engine come out the same way? Pardon my ignorance 😅
yup! should be the same!

I see "Croatia" on your wall, hrvat si? :D
da, ja sam Hrvatica! lol
F-ing Taylor loses an 8mil? Doesnt he know the 10mil is the one to lose?
yeah not sure how he managed it but he did.
