Its becoming evident the more videos I watch its not a good idea to go to these high street phone unlocking shops that claim to fix laptops and consoles. If I was a youtube technician I'd be telling anyone who'd listen not to go to them with your console. If they can't see an obvious burn mark they say 'it can't be fixed'. Its like a mechanic who kicks the tire and tells you your car is for the scrap yard.

What’s the amp draw on that fan your wires look small for a fan I think is 12v the wires on the fan are bigger than your repair wire, even if it’s ok now the amp draw will go up when that fan gets dirty a 34awg wire can only handle 0.056 amps at 12v that’s like nothing. Danger Will Roberson

Never take it to one of these high street phone/tablet shops. Seen enough tech videos like this where its been to such a shop and they've ballsed it up or claim its unfixable because they don't like to admit they don 't know what they are doing.

Same problem here but after the USB c replacement, still no video out. It charges in the dock but no video out. Other switches give video out on this dock too... No shorts on USB chip and all filters test good too...
