I have about 100lbs on mine and don't notice any stretching of the cables. I wouldn't be concerned with 250lbs as its rated up to 300lbs. The only thing to watch is the base is held by the cables so there can be a little bit of a swaying back and forth, so you don't want something to slide off the side of the platform. After its raised or lowered it doesn't move.

How much weight have you put on it? Do you feel okay with storing 200-250lbs long-term on this? Curious if the cables stretch over time, etc. Thanks.
