Today I change the reduction box and transmission oil on my 1967 VW bus. This process isn't too difficult and is pretty straight forward, especially with a repair manual. Just make sure to use the right oil, check it every 6000 miles, and fill the reduction boxes before the transmission! In this video, I install a tachometer in the split bus. I have since gotten the bus on the highway and it cruises at 60-65mph at around 3500RPM with 205/75/R15 all terrain tires, a stock transmission, and large nut gear reduction boxes.
