We started out our day with Cuban coffees from Con Huevos Craves then grabbed some exercise at the hotel gym since we slept in a bit. What a day! We started out our day early with coffee and a bite of breakfast at Falls City Market. Coffee from Heine Bros was good, ham and cheese croissant from JJ Bakes was insanely good. We flew our Piper Cherokee 180 from Hickory, NC to Louisville, KY for our first trip ever to Kentucky! The mountain and farm land views from 6,000 feet up were beautiful! Just made this flight in a 182 yesterday! Love Smoky Mountain flying. Next time fly into downtown island. Beautiful approach!
The plan was to land at downtown island and take the courtesy car to Status Dough but the ceiling was 300 and vis 1/2 mile!
