i played it in "mania" without bms controller (man i fucking hate brackets on kb)

Its fun but kinda boring after a while

I love that game and i never knew where can I download it nor where can i get the charts

So does the term illegal bms mean either making a bms based off a song you don't have the full on rights to, even if you have the stems properly keysounded (such as an existing video game soundtrack or creative commons license song), OR as making a bms without full keysounds, even if you created a unique song? I only presumed before that illegal bms implied playing existing beatmania content, including licensed content that has been removed from existence and has been ported to bms for preservation purposes.

I bought a JKOC just to play BMS a couple years ago... I'm terrible at it =w=';

I'm playing a Muse Dash game which one is also uses a BMS file format for charts

BMS is one of my favorite rabbit holes to fall into. For something so obscure, it's a miracle that so much artistry, and literally 75% of popular rhythm game artists have their roots here.

Beatmania 4th Mix was my first cab I ever touched. Actually - - - the only cab i've touched.... :(

I played Beatmania IIDX in Moscow back in 2019. I miss those times...

Soflan is actually a great description of both my musical style and charting style in Guitar Hero, since when I make charts, I'll often change the beat lines to match up with stutters, unison impacts, and other effects. Since scroll speed isn't affected by BPM in Guitar Hero, this doesn't have the effect it would in other games (which is a good thing, since these BPMs can often get into the thousands, and can change very rapidly). I haven't written a full-on soflan song in a while, but it is definitely something I enjoy doing, especially for comedic effect.

My arcade has a Wacca cab, and thanks to it I got introduced to it. It's really fun, sas to hear it's no longer active :(

Even if you don't play BMS through Beatoraja or LR2. If you've played Musynx or Muse Dash, those games OST's are comprised of a ton of BMS content to begin with.

Once got myself on the BoF site. I got so confused with navigating it, once got the access to leaderboard, then I couldn't, though I quite understand the basic of accessing the Team's content. The Japanese language Didn't help at all.... Also, not putting another popular music Mope-Mope by LeaF sounds like a crime.

I remember actually getting confused a lot between BMS and IIDX, so much I kinda having a hard time to know which songs is actually from IIDX, or BOF events

Around the time PW got shut down, Konami announced IIDX INFINITAS, which is a home subscription service for playing IIDX on PC. While it's still pretty difficult to use from outside Japan, being Paseli-based, it was at least theoretically possible to play IIDX in a fully legal way from the release of INFINITAS onward, which is likely why Konami suddenly got litigious.

2 things. 1st: Ty so much, i honestly though everyone played BMS but I met quite a few locals at my arcade that never heard about it which was surprising to me. Didn't realize how underground it was. 2nd: BlueSpringExpress is peak if ur controllers broken or u need new switches USE IT!
