S&S say that the couplers need to be tightened/checked before every ride, they also say the coupler needs to be tightened to 35 ft/lbs min of torque. What nobody says is where you can buy a torque wrench/tool to use with these couplers. Any suggestions?

Nothing came out of mine. Suction, leaning, tipping, not one drop. To say that’s concerning is an understatement since it’s one year old and has only 1800 miles on it. Not too comfortable pushing 60ml back into it not knowing where the other 60ml went. I’ve emailed the shop I bought it through and CoMotion.

Then complain to PINION! Jesus, don't get mad at Co-Motion because you don't like the shifter Pinion spec'd. Oh and if you had ANY mechanical understanding of a gearbox, you'd know that there's a reason they're using a twist-shifter. I'll let you figure out the rest! No internal cables? Gee, Einstein, wanna figure out how to couple a bike with internal cables? Not feasible at all. Plus, people actually TOURING do not want the pain in the ass that is internal cable routing. But if you're into "super low drag coefficients of internal routing," then why exactly are you touring? Shouldn't you be at the cafe with the other wankers? And if you've ever bicycle toured, the LAST thing you want when a derailleur bites the dust or a cable gets toasted in the rain and mud, is INTERNAL cable routing. Total PIA. Ha, ha! Co-Motion, you keep doing what you're doing. Let the wankers buy their plastic Asian crap!

hi there, im very new to Rohloff and belt drive set ups, just ordered a shifter from . now im looking for a crankset for my bike (santos Bike from netherlands) . witch one did you use on this bike? tks

The bike looks great but the shifter doesn't do it for me. If you're going downhill to an uphill you'll need to take your hands off the drops or the hoods to shift gears. Just doesn't seem efficient or as stable as it could me. Or if you are going uphill, gripping your bars or your drops and you need that easier gear, now you need to release the drops to adjust the bars losing leverage. I know 18 gears is a lot to shift through, but it doesn't seem efficient to me to release your bars when you're fighting the climb. Perhaps I'm wrong.

Amazing bikes that I would LOVE to own if they had internally routed cables. It's a must for a great everyday commuter with being out in the rain and chaining it up, etc. I love EVERYTHING about co-motion except for that. You have almost the perfect bike, take that final step, PLEASE!

Why not just leave the upper screw out, and let the oil just drain from the bottom hole? Can't see why you would need the syringe to suck the oil out when it will drain out on it's own. Only on a Mercedes do you need to "suck" the oil out.

How come the frame has not spit stay for the insertion of the belt?

Will the Pangea suit also fat 26 x 1 inch tires? E.g for fast road touring?

I tried putting my 58cm pinion divide in the case. It fits by bulging here and there. It weighs 57 lbs without the extras, pedals, rack, fenders, bottle cages, rear light, etc. if the airline does not accept it I will stop by the dealer to see if they have a better method for packing.

I'm looking to get back into bike touring after a break of about 20 years and am utterly amazed at the technology advances in cycling....the Rohloff speed hub with a carbon belt looks like a low-maintenance touring bike dream! Very excited to give one a try.

Is the Americano the only model that is derailleur and undished?

so you don't get 60mls out but you put 60mls of new oil back? so after lets say 3 oil changes and only getting around 20mls out each oil change and you put 60mls new oil into the gear box x 3 where is all this oil? I'm I missing something?

before putting the cover back on shouldn't he have put grease on those little gears or whatever they are?

I'm going to utilize old tennis balls on the ends of the S&S. That way they'll be fully covered and won't gouge anything else in the travel bag or the bag itself.
