As stated in the video these 2 axes are not in the same class per se. If you can swing a heavy axe the Gransfors is superior. If you need a lighter smaller axe and have a much smaller budget the Fiskars seemed to be a nice and sturdy choice.
Personally the Gransfors is way too heavy for me to swing with any kind of control but if I got a lucky strike to land properly it did go deeper and split better.
The Fiskars is very easy for me to swing and control so this will be my choice for common use and I anticipate better results when the wood pile dries out over the fall/winter. I also think someone who can put a little more oomph into it would have good results with this axe. Fiskars also has similar models that are a little larger and heavier that (without having tried them) I think would make really good budget wood splitters.
