What's up TH-cam! I'm back with another Twilight Princess mod! This time adding several mechanics found in Skyward Sword onto Twilight Princess.
This mod was supposed to be released during mid-july, but had to delay it due to several bugs and unfinished content at the time. But Now I'm fairly satisfied with the state of the mod!

      @@RRGAMES-u5x The european and korean regions of TP Wii aren't compatible with the mod atm. As far as I know, there's only two versions of the US region of TP Wii. v1.0 and v1.2 (1.0 is incompatible with the mod atm.) If you're using dolphin emulator, add the path to the US version of your TP Wii copy. (so then it gets displayed in dolphin emulator's menu). Then right-click on it on the dolphin menu and select properties. Then go to "info" tab and look at "Name". If it says "Disc 1, Revision 0" that means it's 1.0 and won't work with the mod.

    If you didn't come here from the gamebanana post (gamebanana is a website), you can ignore this comment. If you're here from gamebanana and following the guide in gamebanana, apparently another user edited my post in GameBanana so idk if it's still accurate to check that post anymore. I have no idea what was edited or why and idk how to check what was edited. It's been nearly a year since I made this, so i'd recommend just watching the TH-cam video rather than looking at the gamebanana post.

      Thanks! :) I try to make all of my TP mods as accurate to the source material as possible like with how much each item drains the energy meter per usage in ALBW-Style Meter and the gameplay being as similar as possible to The Wind Waker in TWW-Style Controls (since both games are made in same engine), so seeing comments like this makes me happy :)

You rekindled the hype I had for Twilight Princess. Seriously, thanks. But I'm back with my weird suggestions and a question 😁. Bro, the suggestion that I make with all due respect. Do you think that defending yourself with the shield and locking on to the target can stay as it was originally in tp L (lock on and defend) and R (parry, shield attack)? Or maybe like the revamped mod to give it an extra layer of technique? L (lock on) R (use the shield) R+B (Parry, Shield attack). That would be great bro. Is that possible? It would give a lot of fluidity and more precision to combat when doing the parry. 🥺

      By the way, I love SS shields, but I also have other skin mods with other cool shields. Is it possible to change them with Gcft or Gcrebuilder?

      @@TonyDorf23 Custom models are optional. The only mandatory files are withing Stage folder. And AlAnm.arc in Object folder contains underwater spin-dash animation, so it's also highly recommended. Shields are CWShd.arc, HyShd.arc, and SWShd.arc Also, I'm not planning on changing the shield to be when L-targeting because it's not how it works in Skyward Sword, but, I made TWW-Style Controls mod which does basically what revamped does

Is there really a way to combine Revamped or the Revamped shield aspect with SS Stamina, it would be great, I love them too much, thanks

      @@TonyDorf23 I mean you could try but will very likely crash the game. If it doesn't crash on boot, will probably crash when performing some actions. But you can't combine TWW-Style Controls with SS-Style Stamina cuz both are rel mods

    Just started this a few days ago, it’s so neat. My only 2 cents so far is the starting SS outfit looks very odd at the neck, needs to match the face tone more. And was wondering if you would consider adding upgrades to the stamina bar? I know the armor kinda does that but just a thought

      yea for the neck color, i ran into a sorta major UV mapping problem in Blender (3D model tool) (UV mapping is the process of putting texture on model). As for stamina upgrades, aside from the Armor, which you already mentioned, the hidden skill attacks and spin attack reduce less stamina if your sword is stronger. They consume the most stamina with practice sword and least stamina with Master Sword, which is also how it work in Skyward Sword as I mentioned in the video during 4:13-4:25. iirc, Skyward Sword doesn't have stamina upgrades that increase the length of the stamina bar like in BotW, so not planning on adding those to this mod.

      Are you 10000000% sure, you're not just playing as ordon Link at the beginning of the game which is an entirely different model than hero's clothes Link?

      @@mugiwaranonaruto1 Yea, but it's too much work for this mod because each model has it's different amount of meshes and different texture names and etc. Ordon Link has less meshes than hero's clotthes Link. Zora Armor has different amount of meshes and also has zora mask mesh

      Once libtp supports TP HD, I'll probably port my mods to TP HD. But I did actually remove auto-shielding (removed shielding entirely) in TP HD months ago. If you are in the Zelda Decompilation discord server, go to "tp-misc" channel and scroll up until you find a TP HD video in sacred grove, the cemu graphic pack is there :) (you can do asm patches with Cemu Graphic packs)

    cap kitty cat friend, the mod is really spectacular, thank you very much. a suggestion from me, my friend. do you think that in a future update you can make enemies do x2 damage? to make the challenge even greater? since in ss the enemies take double the damage. and reduce link's attack by half? that would be spectacular.

      No, I probably won't do that. I hate that method because it unfairly affects all enemies. I'd much rather adjust damage each enemy deals to Link and Link deals to each enemy. But easier said than done lol

      For adjusting damage dealt to/from each enemy, I'd have to figure out how to do REL modding (not to be confused with the save file REL lel) so then can try to modify the REL code of each enemy. Twilight Princess has two main types of code: main.dol code which contains the main code of the game like UI code as well as Link's functions and his item functions. Then there's the REL files within the game which seem to primarily contain code for NPCs and Enemies functions. I'm still trying to wrap my head around how to modify the REL codes properly (particularly when using libtp because in decomp it's easier). Once I figure that out, can start working on adjusting damage to and from each enemy.

      @@victorseba6410 well, you're gonna need to find a way to convert the rvz file to iso. Also, make sure that in "Config->GameCube", Slot A is set to GCI Folder

    This is great and I really like it, I do have a weird issue where my sprite breaks and I cant move when I swing the four sword after giving it to myself. Maybe its because I got it too early?

    Wait, the running appears to be directly taken from SS's animation pool. Looking it up says the engine for SS is a modified version of the one from TP. ...Does that mean that, theoretically, if someone were to make a comfortable control scheme for the gamecube controller, that you could get SS to run on gamecube hardware? I... would really like to see that. Both because it would just be awesome to see modders manage such a feat, and because it would mean you could do things like the OOT+MM randomizer for TP and SS and that would just be cool to see.

      ​@@captainkittyca2 Ohhhhh. Clever, very clever... It's only used in that one scene to my knowledge, so I'm not too surprised I forgot about it. It is very similar looking, though, so that is a very nifty substitute, I must say. And my question still stands, if it's theoretically possible to get SS running on gamecube hardware. If it's a hard no, though, I'd understand. It would make sense if some aspects of the updated engine ended up being too much for poor ol' gamecube to handle haha.

      @@randibillett472 Idk, you could probably get it working on GameCube once getting motion controls to work, can't imagine the Wii being that much more powerful. But first Skyward Sword would need to be fully decompiled for an accurate port. Also, the only custom animation in the mod atm is the underwater spin-dash. I used a pre-existing TP animation and rotated Link's model lel. It animates too fast compared to spin-dash in SS because of technical reasons

It would undoubtedly be useful only if you were to actually want to combine randos, and even then it would probably be easier to just make players to use the Wii version instead of making it compatible with both haha. Yeah, I did think that looked a little silly, but I assumed it wasn't an active choice you made. It looks pretty good, considering.

      You could've checked my response to one of the many others who asked... For TP GCN assets, after modifying the iso with GCFT, you can use that modified iso on real hardware the same way you'd use a modified mario sunshine hack on real hardware or The Wind Waker modified iso on real hardware. The people that made GCFT are involved in The Wind Waker modding. As for the code mod ("REL.xx.gci" and the Loader file or gecko code), just set it up on real hardware the same way you'd setup the TP randomizer on real hardware. For TP Wii assets, after following the Setup provided with downloading the mod, you can probably use the extracted, modified game on real hardware using Nintendon't or something. How do you play Super Mario Galaxy mods on real hardware or Mario Kart Wii mods on real hardware? Just do the same here lol. As for the code mod, you'd be better off contacting kipcode (libtp dev) if you want to figure that part out since he would know more about that than me. But one of the things he mentioned is that you should use priiloader and enable a specific setting within it, to avoid the console deleting the hacked save after rebooting your Wii.

    Wow, what a beautiful and well-made mod. I always liked the gameplay of Skyward Sword and the aesthetics and dungeons of Twilight Princess. I have no words to describe this. As a suggestion that no one asked for: it would be interesting if there were chu-jelly potions that extended the duration of stamina. I can't wait to see how they continue, I'm especially looking forward to seeing Parrys' system more polished.

      @Miss-u2r Thanks! I'll consider adding potions that replenish stamina but in, in Skyward Sword, Link drinks potions while still in gameplay state, so id want to figure out how that works first before adding stamina potions.

      @fiercedeity6437 Should be, yea. Apparently you need to use priloader and enable a specific setting to avoid the save file getting deleted when re-booting your wii from what i hear. I only tested on dolphin with real wiimote and numchuck

      @@fiercedeity6437 Idk, because i never played my mods on real hardware. If you're playing the GCN version, just set it up on real hardware the same way you'd setup the randomizer on real hardware. As for the assets, for both GCN and Wii, you can modify you're ISO on PC and then afterwards, use that modified iso on real hardware. For TP Wii, you can probably use nintendon't. But yea I never played them on real hardware as i've mentioned so many times already here from other people asking

    I think it's so cool that they recycled the magic bar mechanic that was originally used in TP and transformed it into a stamina bar and also, they were able to implement all those animations that weren't originally there...this is impressive

      @mrbags2348 Thanks! I used the oxygen meter for stamina and I used magic meter for shield durability. Also, the sprinting animation is the one used in one of the intro cutscenes before Link turns into wolf Link. The underwater spin dash animation is custom.

      With zora armor there's a function to hide/show the zora mask. Unfortunately, there isn't anything like that for Link's face in hero's clothes model.

    I would change the green potion Jars to Purple to match the meter plus there would also be purple potion to refill that meter and the purple chu jelly would be more useful than a life or damage threat

    Here's what I would fix: don't make Link take damage when returning the ball and chain on zero statima, when swimming underwater only use the Zora Armor so he won't drown while still having the spin attack ability, not store worthless items that don't really have any effect like Cats, Dogs, or Signs.

    I find it ironic how people bash SS yet forget that SS truly started it all with the Broken Shields, Stamina and Potions which would carry onto Broken Weapons/Shields, Stamina and Recipes in BOTW/TOTK. TP has probably influenced the Open World games with the Bomb Arrows, Hawkeye (which also increases the Arrows range), Dominion Rod, Zora Armor, Using sword on horseback.

    This is really cool, but having an oxygen meter is not a good idea, and the magic armor should use way less rupees. Nobody ever used the magic armor in the base game and I don't see anyone using it in this mod either. I would either lower the amount it drains or just remove the rupee requirement altogether. With what you have to go through to get the armor I think it would be fine to just let the player have infinite stamina at that point. And obviously using d-pad right to equip/unequip the shield on Wii is not very good but I know you had to make compromises there. You could maybe make it a button combo instead, like storing items? Those are my criticisms. Otherwise, this is great

      Thanks for the feedback but because of how slowly oxygen drains, and because you lose hearts after all the oxygen depletes (as well as the fact that you can fully restore oxygen by collecting one of the several green rupees underwater), it's still easy to avoid drowning. Also, iron boots don't consume stamina when used underwater. I might adjust the armor in future update, but in terms of making it use up less rupees, that's easier said than done lol, so not doing that specifically. Tbh, i'd rather keep it as d-pad right in TP Wii and just make it so you can never use the item toggled to d-pad right since there's already more than enough item places for the buttons. But that's going to require a better understanding of TP Wii's source code before can happen

      I only tested it on Dolphin Emulator with real wiimote and nunchuck but it should work on Wii too yea. There's another person here that asked about setting it up for real Wii and i provided some info. But i never actually played them on real wii

    "Stamina will also be consumed when holding a heavy object." Does this mean while he's moving? Or will his stamina drain regardless? I'd hope the former, because that would be absolutely brutal if you lose stamina while carrying an object and not moving. If I may make another suggestion, a rock that size should not consume stamina. It's not that big of an object, and we know Link in TP is quite strong already.

      The mod is styled after Skyward Sword. In Skyward Sword, you can find heavy barrels at beginning of game that drain stamina when carried
